Little Crunch has responded well to the Baytril and Metoclopramide prescribed for her slow gut but, being completely neurotic (and wanting to make sure i'm prepared in the future), I went against the advice of the vet and ordered in some Fibreplex and Biolapis which have just arrived.

I just want to check I understand the general idea behind these products

Biolapis - A probiotic which helps with the replenishment of good bacteria in the gut after using Baytril?

Fibreplex - A prebiotic which helps keep the good bacteria in the gut healthy?

My main question is, should I administer both (or either) of these while she is on Baytril/Metoclopramide or wait until she is finished?

Any advice appreciated :).
 
Don't know if I'm doing it right, but I always give fibreplex along with antibiotics, it is while they are on the antibiotics that they need bacterial gut support. I think biolapis and fibreplex do pretty much the same thing, I personally prefer fibreplex as you can be sure the rabbit is getting it, I give it to Smokey, I squeeze it on a bit of banana, he gobbles it up.:D
 
Yeah they are both pretty much the same thing:)

If you have them both I would give them to her while she is on the antibiotics.
