Bald Hind Legs - Help

happybunny

Mama Doe
Hi,

I was bum checking yesterday when I discovers Freya (one of our outside bunns) was bald on the back of both hind legs.

One looks/feels slightly swollen (well fatter than the other leg).

I have an appointment at the vets with her tonight, but am I worring over nothing?

Thanks.

Was she at all damp between her legs? Was the exposed skin red or inflammed?

Was there any straggly bits of fur left?

Sorry, just read back your post and Im not exactly sure where you term the 'back' of her legs...

Hi,

Thanks for replying.

The skins does not look sore or infammed. There are no stragly bits of hair, completly naked. She was also dry.

The front of her legs are still covered in fur and look fine. It is just from her heel upwards (towards her bum) that is bald. Does that make sense?

is it on the inside of her legs, so you can see it when she is on her back? Does it go up to near her genitals?

No its on the outside of her leg (so if you lay her on her back you can't see it - unless you are not the one holding her!).

It does not go as far a her genitals.
