Sweet dreams little Ivor

My beautiful gentle and funny boy, thank you (and Oska) for being the best introduction to gerbil keeping possible .

You cracked me up with your boundless energy and comedy bunny teeth. It was wonderful to see you share you life with your brother, scampering around, stealing food from each other, hugging and humping.

bob nicknamed you Work. An excellent tunnel builder, super industrious. you also made me lose my fear of rodent tails.2458.jpg

I chose you two in rescue as ever time I looked over you were hugging. Your relationship was amazing. When you got sick and I needed to pull you out of the nest for foods and meds, I always found you curled up together. Oska seemed a wonderful support to you.

I know there must have been something more serious going on than the poorly leg we took you to the exotic vets with a week ago. You went downhill so quickly. I hope I timed it ok baby boy, I wanted to give you the chance to recover. Sadly it wasn't to be so you were helped in to your forever sleep on 30th sep. Just 3 years and 3 months old.

sleep tight, sweet dreams my scurrying friend. You will always have a place in my heart 💜

I'm sorry to hear this 😞 I was just thinking the other day that it was lucky it was "only" a foot injury that was making him out of sorts, since of course an illness in a gerbil might be more difficult or stressful to diagnose and treat. Rest in peace, Ivor.

Oh I'm so very sorry to hear this J & B. They were both so lucky to find their way to you and Bob, you gave them both their best life. Sweet dreams little Ivor, and a tiny nose rub for Oska xx

I am sorry to read that Ivor is at the rainbow bridge. He and his brother were lucky to be adopted by you and Bob. Sending comforting hugs to you, Bob, and Oska
