Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Raven needs vibes, falling, circling update March 11

Thanks Jane,
It is hard to tell. I have not seen any head tracking today, though I may have missed it. He still is not eating all his greens, yet he is eating more than yesterday, so progress. He ate a loop treat and I wondered why he did not eat another, yet I think he eats the berry loops and leaves the country loops. I am testing that theory now.

Improvement!
This morning I was glad to see that Raven ate all of his overnight greens and he ate both the selective naturals loop treats I left in his bowl after is overnight syringe feed. There is no head tracking and most of his curving to the right/circling is gone.
Thank you for your support.

Sometime Monday night our Raven went back into stasis. I noticed when he was getting a syringe fed. I tapered off his motility meds and fluids. He may have been stressed in the evening because I moved him to another area when I was cleaning our bedroom where he usually lives because spouse tested positive for covid. He was just moved back to his usual area.
Please send poo vibes.

Thanks Omi,
He just passed a clump of cecals, so I hope that means motility meds are starting to work and he just needs time for the syringe feed to move through his system. I hear him nibbling on and off.

Raven made some fecal poo this morning. He is eating a little dandelion leave now. I am glad he cannot get covid from us because he will need hands on care a few times today.

Poor Raven. I hope he will soon be back to normal and that your spouse will also heal quickly. xxxxx

IM, PetsMum, MimzMum, Zoobec,
Thank you for the vibes. The Covid is making my head swim, so hard to watch after Raven. He did get all his meds. His head is tracking again, though not as bad as before. I will try to syringe feed later. He is brighter than overnight.
