Rabbit's foot trapped in carrier - update

Thank you, it may do. She has a hard one she won't go near but I can try the softer option, would be handy for hot weather too.

Oh, I just read the reviews, not good for rabbits.

Sending more vibes for Millie. It is promising she is doing better since she can see the handsome young buck!

Oh no, poor Millie :( That sounds absolutely awful - thank you so much for sharing this. I have a bunny too (our sweet girl Koko, almost 5 years old), and your story really hit me. It's shocking how quickly something so small can lead to panic and injury - I'm really glad she's recovering and that nothing was broken

After we had a bit of a scare during travel last year (not as dramatic, thankfully), I started padding everything inside the carrier. Back then, I got a really soft fleece carrier liner from a site called Furria - the texture was gentle enough for her paws, and it made her feel more secure. I actually just checked the site again (https://furria.store) and it seems like they’re more focused on dogs now, maybe rehab gear mostly. Not sure if they still sell rabbit things - but you could have a look, maybe there’s something there that could help, or even something to adapt for bunnies.

Sending love to Millie - I hope the next check-up brings only good news

Thank you, bunnymom, I only just saw your post. She's been to the vet again who thinks it's all healed nicely. She does have one toe that's now shorter and poking upwards, either because a hairline fracture has set wrongly or because injury to her ligaments or tendons has shortened them. She's no longer limping though, so bonding can go ahead. Planning to do it next week when I'll have a bit more time.

I'm not having joy with the company who sold the carrier though, my complaint has twice disappeared, will call them again today.

Glad Millie is no longer limping and I hope the bonding goes well. I am hoping to bond two soon, just got to feel it's the right time etc.

It is good to read Millie is now healed with a wonky toe and bonding can commence! Sending lots of positive vibes

Gosh, what a lot of trouble that carrier has given Millie and you. Poor girlie. I'm very glad Millie's healed nicely now and she's not limping anymore. Best of luck bonding her and her new friend!

How awful that the company isn't taking care of your complaint better. I hope you can finally get through to them and they'll take responsibility and change the design.
