Rabbit - Wet Poo

MCK

New Kit
Hello All!

Happy Sunday!

We're reaching out as we own and have owned two grey mini lops for about two years who live in our kitchen. Throughout this time, we've tried everything but always wake up to a mountain of faecal smears across the kitchen floor (yuck!). At the moment, we feed them Selective Natural Grain Free rabbit food and Excel Hay. It seems that their previous owners weren't too keen on giving them greens although they seem to eat celerey and cabbage leaves in small amounts.

In light of the above, we'd be grateful for any suggestions you may have as this problem has gone on for far too long and we can't think of what else to try.

Many thanks in advance,

MCK

Hi and sorry for all the questions.

Are you sure the smears are faecal rather than caecal? Are they both responsible? Do they both eat a lot of hay? Hay should comprise about 85% of their diet. How many pellets are they fed each day? What type of hay is the Excel?
