Rabbit noises

What are 'normal' rabbit noises??? Desmond sometimes makes a lot of noise, like he is talking. It's different to happy teeth clicking, and it's not grunting. Do yours make noises?? He is eating, drinking and pooping fine, and very happy!! It's not a wiffly nose either, it actually comes from inside him.

I had a very vocal rabbit who made a noise when excited. It's very difficult to describe but kind of buzzy, even wheezy... almost like a guinea pig squeak though nowhere near as loud. She made this noise when running over to greet me or when I got the treat box out!

Yeh, its a very odd noise. Douglas doesn't do it, and when Desmond started i checked him everywhere to make sure he wasn't poorly or hurt!!
It sounds like a hummy buzz noise

I thought Scrat was asthmatic when I got her at first because she did it from the day I got her at 8 weeks old. Artie did it a little when he was a few months old but seems to have grown out of it.... which is a shame because I love hearing excited noises from them :love:

Hi,

My Humphrey can be a little grumpy at times and he has a kinda bark/grunt when he wants to be left alone and a really soft, almost purring noise when he is happily lazing on the couch, being stroked while watching TV with me and my mum!

I'd never heard a rabbit make any sort of sound till we got Lily, Jim is the strong and silent type

However, I've been honked at, snorted at and growled at, and she was shrieking her head off within seconds of their introduction, as they set about each other, but they soon sorted it out themselves (I should have just left them to it - I made the mistake of intervening in their fisticuffs, won't be doing THAT again in a hurry. My finger has finally healed up )

She's a real chatterbox, nearly as vocal as the cat with her snorts and huffs and this weird huffly groan she sometimes gives out as she flollops down, apparently exhausted after a long day eating and doing bunny stuff

Reckon they must be in luuuurrrve now though, how's this for copying?

Boris makes no noises whatsoever except the growls  he also tends to grind his teeth rather loudly when cuddling, actually it sounds a bit like a cat's purr.

Kermit is so vocal its unreal!

He has loads of different grunts....he has this grunt he does when he is walking about the living room, its funny, he is like an old man walking down the street talking to himself!!

when my bunny is mad at me, like when he is picked up when he doesnt want to, or he runs into something he makes something like a huffing noise. other than that, all i hear from him is purring and stomach gurgles
