Can rabbits eat the string-y part of the pumpkin? We've got four of them sitting on our counter, and I was wondering if they had too much sugar or if the texture was dangerous.
I save that bit for guinea pigs and the seeds for the chipmunks. I don't routinely feed it to rabbits. A small amount probably won't be harmful, but I prefer to just feed higher fibre stuff. I would be interested to see what others do.

Ah, okay, I think I'm seeing a pattern! I try to save any of our edible raw vegetable/greens scraps for the rabbits if I can, but I guess pumpkin just isn't the best choice. We'll stick to leftover cilantro and salad greens then!
