Possible Spring fever

Just a quick question. I think Bumble might be experiencing a bit of Spring fever. He's been doing a bit of honking and circling Pip a bit. Our old buns always did this, so nothing new.
But Bumble seems to want to chase Pip most mornings and early evenings. Pip is quite skittish and starts sprinting and then he just chases faster! It always ends with him grooming her ears and then relaxing, although Pip looks out of breath.

Would giving them more room help, so she can hide and run further. Or is it better to not change their space and just let them get on with it.

We could attach a pen to give them more space for a few hours each day whilst we build up to giving them free roam.

I'm not sure whether giving them more space would stop him doing this. It might do though and I don't think it would do any harm to their bond at this stage, so I'd give it a try. As you say, the plan is to give them more space in time anyway, so this would fit with your plan. You could attach the extra pen at the times that Bumble usually does his chasing.

You could always reduce the space again if you need to.

We decided to give them more space for the day, we will have to restrict it back at bedtime, because he does like to chew our rug and don't want him having a poorly tummy after getting up to mischied whilst I'm sleeping.

Hilariously, he explored this new section and chewed on the pen a bit and then spent the rest of the day sleeping next to Pip . I thought he might do some zooming to expell some excess energy. Maybe he will this evening. .

They currently have more of the lounge than us.
