Poppet :-(

I can't believe that so soon after losing Britney I am writing about my beloved Poppet now :cry:

I went out yesterday morning for breakfast time and he was on his side but I thought he was flopped out as he is deaf so quite often doesn't move until I poke him which I did and he hardly moved but he was breathing so I brought him into the house in tears as I have never had a bunny like this before they have always passed away at the vets :(

I rang Tree (she was a superstar) as I was so panicked - I got him on a hot water bottle and covered him in a coat and syringed him warm water and it was about 10 minutes later he took his last breath in my arms :cry:

I am going to miss him so much I would have had him 4 years in July and he was 3 when I had him so I know he has done well but he was always a young bunny to me. Bino is going to miss him so much as they have been together from day 1 :cry:

Binky free my gorgeous boy Poppet I loved you so much I got you from the most awful place and still remember that day like it was yesterday. Jill (Honeybunny) thank you for putting this boy my way I have enjoyed every minute of my life with him he was a true joy xxxxxx

Poppet was a very handsome bunny and was lucky you adopted him from Redgate and gave him such a wonderful home.
I'm sure he is up in RB with Britney..both watching over you and thanking you for the love you gave them.

:cry: I'm so sorry hun. Having them die in your arms is so sad, you just feel so helpless. He had a lovely life with you and Bino. Big hug for you xxx
 
Thank you all so much I have seen Tree go through some awful times losing buns in succession and now I know how awful she felt - it makes you question everything you do :cry:
 
I'm so sorry, Carys. Losing one bunny is very sad but to lose another much loved friend so soon after makes life seem so cruel. :cry: Binky free Poppet. xx
