Our lovely glossy boy sadly died in the early hours of this morning. He had been ill on the weekend, but had a dental and all day vet care yesterday and was showing tiny signs of improvement. Deep down I knew he was probably on his way out as he just presented slightly differently to his normal recovery. Plus B&W wouldn't go near him, so I think they knew too. Unfortunately it all proved too much for his little body this time and he passed away very quickly just after 3am. I found him when I went to syringe feed him an hour or two later.
Phillip went through so much - we rescued him from an awful home and then shortly after he was diagnosed with arthritis, an enlarged heart and ingrown teeth roots at less than a year old. He had frequent dentals and spent so much time at the vets, not being afraid to let them know when he wasn't happy. Some of the nurses referred to him as feisty Phillip
My toddler keeps asking "Phillip? Poorly? Better?" which is so sad. I am glad Phillip was around for the first two years of his life. He was so gentle with him and they had the best relationship. I am absolutely devastated that he's gone, but I know he had 7 amazing years with us where he knew nothing but love
