Phillip

Our lovely glossy boy sadly died in the early hours of this morning. He had been ill on the weekend, but had a dental and all day vet care yesterday and was showing tiny signs of improvement. Deep down I knew he was probably on his way out as he just presented slightly differently to his normal recovery. Plus B&W wouldn't go near him, so I think they knew too. Unfortunately it all proved too much for his little body this time and he passed away very quickly just after 3am. I found him when I went to syringe feed him an hour or two later.

Phillip went through so much - we rescued him from an awful home and then shortly after he was diagnosed with arthritis, an enlarged heart and ingrown teeth roots at less than a year old. He had frequent dentals and spent so much time at the vets, not being afraid to let them know when he wasn't happy. Some of the nurses referred to him as feisty Phillip :ROFLMAO:

My toddler keeps asking "Phillip? Poorly? Better?" which is so sad. I am glad Phillip was around for the first two years of his life. He was so gentle with him and they had the best relationship. I am absolutely devastated that he's gone, but I know he had 7 amazing years with us where he knew nothing but love ♥️

I am very sorry for your loss. He certainly landed on his feet when he found a life with your family and Britney and Whitney. I will always remember the photo of Phillip raiding the treat box as B & W looked on! That is a cute photo of Phillip and your boy. They was re adorable together.

I'm so very sorry that you have lost your boy, you gave him a wonderful life. I agree that the photo of him with your little boy is beautiful. Sweet dreams Philip xx

i'm so sorry your beloved boy has gone :( He was such a special rabbit, living his best life with Britney & Whitney - at least they have the support of each other. I'm sorry your son is missing him so; as a kid we we had a few pets & I still remember the pain of each one passing but at the same time, I do think it helped me prepare for the inevitable. I'm glad Phillip got to pass at home though. Loads of love

Sleep tight Phillip, always a special bun xx

I’m so very sorry 😢 they are such lovely photos. He’s had the best life possible xx

Sorry about Phillip! He looks like such a beautiful boy. I'm glad you had seven years to love Phillip, and that he had seven years of love with you. ❤️

Oh no...I am so sorry to hear your news. Bless him, he was a lovely boy, and so lucky to be part of your family.
Binky free 💔

Huuuge hugs xxxxxx

Sometimes you just sort-of know and then they choose their own time and, well, it doesn't make it that much better but you can take heart in that he was Phillip until the end xxx

I'm sorry to read that you have lost your 'Feisty Phillip'. He certainly lived his best life with you and those pictures are beautiful.xxx
