Pearl Grey diet

Hi,
Pearl Grey only really eats hay, not really any pellets or veg. She drinks water but is she really getting all she needs from the hay.
Yesterday she had a spinach leaf and ignored an inch of carrot and some spring cabbage.

Cucumber, herbs, white cabbage, celery, broc, peppers, courgette, turnip, swede, kale are all ignored totally.

If she's maintaining her weight, she's fine. She's on the diet more rabbits should be on. You should be bragging about it instead of worrying. She may like some fresh forage instead if you want to try something else, eg dandelion leaves, bramble leaves.

I agree with Shimmer. Nothing to be worried about. I would just make sure that she is drinking enough as other rabbits get some of their hydration via fresh plants (forage and/or veg).

You might actually find that her preferences could change. I'm thinking particularly of when she will be outside. She could then come across a wild plant and find it tasty. She might also decide it's nice to share food outside with Kanga.

Thank you both, she is a good weight according to the vets - I will try the forage but even fresh grass doesnt really float her boat. Thank you again.

My Bugs is the total opposite. I always give him hay, but he hardly touches it. He eats lots of green grass, kale, coriander, parsley, cherry tomatoes, cherries, pellets, etc, but eats minimal hay yet his teeth are perfect. He's a lone bun since we lost his brother and seems to be doing fine 🤞.
