Painting hutch

I've just bought a new 6ft hutch and hideaway from rabbit-hutches.co.uk to upgrade what is currently in our rabbit enclosure. They have a roof to protect from rain but I'm thinking of painting the new things to help increase longevity. Would likely use Cuprinol Garden Shades as I believe to be pet safe and lasts a long time before recoating. People who have painted their hutches - do you tend to just do the outside or do you do the inside too?

I have used this on the bunny shed due to it being called pet safe. I used it both inside and out. They have in part eaten wood iwth this on.

I do the inside as well. It makes it a lot easier to keep clean and hygienic. It also prevents urine soaking into the wood, which can be an issue with spreading the EC parasite, as you can't thoroughly disinfect untreated wood.
