Like even coding, ai is being pushed so much, at first it did a **** job, now it's pretty good, but if no one can build stuff, then what? You'll have like a few senior devs monitoring ai, and no on learning how..

People don't know how to grow food either, make things, repair things - not on here this forum is actually very different

YES! my son took a photo of the gpig run I was making, he added rabbits, piggies, plants, and stone flower bed walls, he has no idea how to build physically but made a wonderful AI photo.

My fancy new shed is in place. Oh it is so lovely (will post pics another time).

How do people protect wooden legs? (Internal shelf for potting plants on, or in my case for the guinea pigs to live on). I did wonder about those metal corners that plasters use on plaster board but I have no idea how bit they would need to be to fit the legs. Would any of them fit? I am hoping/guessing that as long as the metal things are at ninety degrees they will be ok ...

Advice very welcome.

What are you protecting the wooden legs from? If it's rot / wet, I stand them on a brick or similar to keep the wood from direct contact with the floor. If it's for chewing, maybe stand them inside a standard plastic plant pot - you can get taller ones as well. Thank you Shimmer. It is from chewing. Moondust and Bindweed love a good chew. Most of the shed will be insulated and plywooded!

I need a new run to attach to the shed. If Ryedale are still going I will look at one of theirs.

One of my guinea pigs is called Shimmer! Sadly her sister, Saffron recently passed away so I am in the process of finding her a new friend.

I have just gone to a local firm and got some cut off pipes from them. Maybe you have something similar near you and as Shimmer says put those round?

Did you manage to get the pipes, my OH has just brought loads home and I think although bulky would be light to post if you needed?

I didn't get the pipes. The shed is BOILING so they won't be going into it until Autumn now.

The pipes are needed for the staging legs so about a million!

I am not sure exactly how to go about covering all the bits that the rabbits could chew. I am not exactly mrs DIY.

The shed is such a beauty queen but my goodness even with the two opening windows and the stable door open it gets up into the high 30s in there at the moment.

It looks fantastic! without insulation, with it having such a lot of glass I think it will be hot in summer and cold in winter.

That's a beautiful shed Did you get it made locally after all?

We used a staple to attach weldmesh pieces over bits that shouldn't be chewed

I got it from a local garden centre and asked them to put the staging away from the window to avoid cooked guinea pigs.

So many windows so heat management in Summer and Winter is going to be tricky.

I am going to make them a decent set up on the front lawn. They are currently in a hutch and run but want something a bit more sheltered for them.

The guinea pigs are happy in my bedroom!
