My bonded rabbits are suddenly not getting on

Hi,

My two bonded rabbits are suddenly not getting on, they are both fixed and have been for over 6 months. They have always been inseparable and always cuddling together however recently my male rabbit will not stop mounting my female rabbit.

I tried to put them in a small space to work it out but they start to go at eachother no matter how many times I pull them apart.

They are currently separated however I am not sure why they have now started fighting as nothing has changed.

Does anyone know the reasons for this?

Spring Fever probably.





But you need to rule out the possibility that one of them might be unwell. Fighting can occur in bonded pairs if one Rabbit senses the other is unwell. Or the unwell Rabbit can become aggressive due to pain/feeling unwell. So a Vet check for both Rabbits would be advisable.
