Male non stop Humping female

I picked my rabbits up from boarding 2 days ago and since the first day back my male rabbit has not stopped trying to hump my female even tried to hump me and my dad I’m assuming it’s because of Easter and this is my first Easter with a bonded pair. But I wasn’t sure wether it could be because I changed there whole area with new things and he’s trying to “claim” it, there’s not pulling hair or any type of aggression from any of them but I can tell my female is getting annoyed, is there anything I can do to calm him down in anyway? They did also get there space increased as I got a new bed could this be also? I’ve uploaded everything that’s new incase this could be the reason too. Thank you! I got a photo of him in the act as you can tell she does not want it.

This sounds like spring fever, plus the fact that the rabbits have been away to bonding (and therefore possibly need to re-adjust their heirarchy), and also the fact that their area has significantly changed. The behaviour could be all or any one of those things.

Whilst your female isn't liking the behaviour, as long as she is not showing any aggression towards your male, I wouldn't be concerned. It's for you to judge how upset your female is about it, to decide to make any changes or leave as is.

If it were me, I would just watch them carefully for the next few days. It is likely that he will get tired of achieving no success with his humping and give up. However, if she shows any aggression, then I think I would reduce their space and remove new items for a while to settle them.

Haha, sorry my fault. I read boarding and typed bonding! Good plan, that's what I would do.

My rabbits do the same, but my female does it! She does it on poor pablos face!!!

Joey would do that in the spring (also on Piper's face, he was too small to get on her back). Once she nipped him in a sensitive area, and that put a stop to it that season. Other times if it seemed like a bit much I would separate him for 30 min in a pen in the room as sort of a time out to give Piper some peace and quiet. I think it gave him time calm down a bit. They were absolutely devoted to each other other than that.

Good, im not very experienced in the ‘rabbit area’!
I thought my bunnies were the only ones who did that,
They’re just weird like that, Pablo (male) eats spiders sometimes, its really gross!

This is hilarious because my female does it to my boys face too and what’s even worse is he enjoys it he gets all comfy and positioned and just sits and enjoys the whole thing

Make sure they have plenty of hay to chew as they are grazing animals. This should help to calm them down.
