Lost Kanga today

Kanga obviously feels that his housing is not up to scratch. He went missing today, and I hunted high and low for him. I obviously did not hunt high enough as he was eventually found on the windowsill. WhatsApp Image 2026-01-20 at 16.51.41.jpeg

This is a plastic windowsill and houseplants that he should not have. He had navigated along the back of the sofa to here - I need to start building more barriers!

I can vouch for the vaulting 1m barrier bunnies: Lopsy could easily reach 1m without thinking about it, all the rest did think a bit more about it. Lopsy also climbed a 1.5m barrier like a spider, he weighed 2.5kg too so it was some task.

They tend to jump on to something, not floor-to-floor (think horses and puissance, not like that XD), so keeping a gap of a couple of feet might work? Whatever, best best best of luck, it's a (cute, hilarious) PITA XD

He just wanted a view, is all 🤣

He's so adorable, for a moment there I thought he was a stuffed animal! How big is he?
He is tiny, Ursula the gpig weighs more than him. Kanga has just made up 1kg (vets aware) and is only the length of a gpig. The vet says he is between 4 and 5 years old so no growing to do.

Aw, what a darling! No wonder why he can escape so well! Do you think he can squeeze through the bars of his enclosure or is he just a really amazing jumper? (All rabbits are ninjas, I swear!)

Oh God when the thread title said you lost Kanga today I thought he had died. So glad it was only a windowsill adventure.
I thought the same thing! Please choose less alarming thread titles, C&D :ROFLMAO:

Kanga sounds like a little monkey. Look at him, getting a nice view from the window  I'm getting the impression he thinks he'll decide for himself how to live his life, thank you very much :ROFLMAO:

Sorry for the dramatic title  Kanga seems to keep me on my toes! He starts each morning with an inspection of the house. I am not sure if this is as he is trying to get his bearings as every day more and more boxes go out of the door as we prepare to move. He also likes to inspect boxes with or without chattels in,
Oddly although he knows where the gpigs door is and can easily jump in and out of their house he chooses not too. Everywhere else is fair game!

I like his spirit, reminds me of Boo ❤️ Calmly going where the hell he likes. The house we rented in Sough had those blinds. Boo used to run & skid down the windowl sils & more than once nearly hung herself on them....we had to remove the chain-y bits.

Your thread title also panicked me

J+B that is a lovely story about Boo. What a super story - and a lesson to be learnt by Kangapants!
I was moving a fish tank the other day from here to the new house (dads ) I had a bucket of fish on a small table at the side of the tank and by the sofa. He jumped on the arm of the chair and put his front paws on the bucket to look in - he scared me witless

OMG Dotty is like this, into EVERYTHING. Face in everything. She climbs all over us. And she's an overweight large-medium bunny so it's noticeable! Dunno what her current weight is but it should be around 2.5kg when she's not overweight. Her whiskers are tickly and she has licked everyone's hands. I'm just waiting for er to investigate up a trouserleg or in a pocket... She's already tried burrowing off the lawn (and got bored), can't be long before she tries to launch herself off/onto something stupid.

Keletkezes - I recognise that description - however Kanga is tiny - really stupidly tiny, and can fit in everything. I answered the door today having thrown my coat on the sofa - as I came back in the room he sprung out of the wrist end of my winter coat! not quite a trouserleg but nearly.
