Having a bit of a melt down this morning, the photos show that Kanga has groomed Pearl so much she looks bald. Sue says all is good and she has distracted with breakfast and a litter tray.

Oh thank you for asking :)

So Kanga gets a bit "excited" each morning but a willow ball has distracted him from this - fingers crossed.
We have mutual grooming and a pen size of 3ft x 2 ft.
I got some "stardrops" white vinegar and have sprayed Pearls old cage as a litter tray and blocked of most of the shed with the gpigs c+c grids, I have put some branches of twisted hazel in and just the hay litter tray.

I am excited to have them home, I am going at 2pm on Wednesday, I cant set off earlier as I have to take dad to warfarin clinic, but this means we will be home quite late. I am going to set up a light and sit in the bunny shed with them for a while. I hope Pearls smell has gone from her old cage and everything else in there is brand new. Do you think I should take it out just to be sure?

I'm so pleased that it's still progressing so well. I would ask the bonder about using Pearl's previous cage as a litter tray. I would be OK about using it. He will have been using a litter tray at the bonders which Pearl has been using, so I think it should be fine. Her smell won't be new to him.

I think your idea of sitting in with them when they first get home is sensible though. The disruption of the drive and then being in a new area could unsettle them a bit, but I would be ready with lots of food distraction. I would keep the area small until they seem completely settled too.

I will remove the large cage tray, I have a brand new bedding box that I can replace with. I have put some twisted hazel branches in and will put veggies in, I will put pellets on a tray so plenty of room / access to them.
Omi - thank you, I have reduced the shed with c+c cage pieces so KangaPants and Pearl will only have access to about a 3rd of the base. All other areas will be blocked off.
I am going to put the dog crate into the space too rather than lift them out - the one they will travel home in. Once they have moved out of it on their own I will lift it out. So no small spaces for them to get trapped in.

Oh I do not know what to do with myself - it seems so long ago since we dropped them off and it is taking soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to become tomorrow.

I havent heard anything from the bonder since yesterday morning so am fraught.

Found a shop (whilst visiting a pal - called the Range and on 3 floors - I think I was stress buying, I never knew I needed such an array of bonkers thinks like solar fountains and stone hearts!!!!
