Joint support tablets

Hi all.

Last year when Archie was unwell I bought some oxbow joint tablets, but he passed before we could try them on him. So we gave them to Pip and I think they help her mobility.
I didnt buy anymore becuase we were focused on her bonding with Bumble. Now they are both settled I'm wondering about getting her some more or trying something else. I see there's another brand called Sherwood. Has anyone tried these? Or got any recommendations?

The vet was pleased with her muscles in April when she had a check over and she certainly doesn't act like a senior bun. But I do notice her wobble sometimes and lose her balance, also her body shape looks different when she bun loafs. But maybe that normal for a senior bun? She's more pointy and less rounded.

She eats like a trooper and bounces with excitement at the thought of a treat. I just want to keep her happy and hate the thought that shes uncomfortable and can't tell me. But I may just be totally over worrying and shes fine.

I've used both and my buns have always preferred the Oxbow, I think it's just personal preference re the taste. I don't know if I've noticed a visible difference as they've been on them for a couple of years before there were any issues with mobility. I'd say give it a go, it doesn't cause any harm. Just be aware the Oxbow ones occasionally go out of stock and can be tricky to find!

I had Mouse & Boo on them. I wasn't sure they made a difference but when I couldn't get hold of any she did deteriorate. I think getting them started before big problems is wise. I'd probably use them again but, as Orenoko says, it is difficult that they can be so difficult to get hold of at times

Thanks everyone. Yes i have read they can be hard to get sometimes. I've just ordered a bag of oxbow as I know she will eat those. Even if they don't make much difference I know she likes them and she will be fooled into thinking they are a treat. Lol.

Millie is on the Sherwood joint support tablets, she was on Oxbow but I switched her over on the advice of a veterinary herbalist. From what I remember it was because the Sherwood ones were less sweet and so healthier.

Thanks. That is good to know. We only gave Pip a half each time, becuase shes so teeny. But I might try them next time
