Jake and Fern

Both went for their vaccines recently and I need to monitor their weights, they've both gained weight! Jake is borderline overweight and Fern is overweight, Fern is younger but Jake will be 10 in December so I don't want them having health issues due to excess weight, the vet was quite stern (in a kind way!) about the risks
They have been housed free range downstairs, but it is laminate floor with a base area of stable matting and a large rug however due to our furniture their litter tray etc was all in one area so they don't tend to move much apart from stable mat to rug
So we decided to move them upstairs where it's carpet and more space we can spread everything out to encourage more movement
So far they're really enjoying it and both race and Binky around, especially at 4am...

Aww, that's really wonderful that they're racing and binkying around now upstairs (though maybe not at 4 am? ) I agree with Pets mum, they look very happy. That first photo is so cute, and the one with Fern and the tunnel, and Jake and his dandelion leaves.

Thank you! I enjoy hearing them munching hay at night but not so much the frequent wakes ups from their running around haha! Hopefully I'll get used to it or if not I soon go back to sleep

How lovely that they are happily settling in their new space. 4am binkeys!!! As you say you will adjust in time. I had 6 hamsters in my bedroom at one time, all with wheels. It was quite something at night.

Also when Loganberry and Moondust rabbits were upstairs at my last house, my son stayed in the room downstairs from them and couldnt believe how much noise they made at night.

Their weight doesn’t look to be too bad from the photos, but it’s good to monitor it. They‘ll soon be toned up with all the extra activity

Thank you for making me smile! It looks like Holly has bonded with Jake and Fern. I love how she is clutching the ball with her tiny fingers as Jake wonders where she is taking the yummy hay!

Jake and Fern look very healthy and happy in their new space. All the photos tell a story so I cannot pick a favorite. Fern looks like she is wondering if she should enter the tunnel. Then the bunnies together under the chair look like they are hiding.
Jake is looking like he watching that no one takes his yummy dandelions. They look like they posed together for the photo next to the cute carrot bowl with pellets!
