Is my rabbit strange??!

I quite like woodlice too, there were quite a few under there water bowl this morning and some around there dig box. I did wonder if rabbits eat them and whether they'd be harmful to bunnies but a quick Google search said a few wont harm them and that rabbits do not go out of the way to eat them.

I moved many woodlice out of the way while I cleaned up the bunny area. Woodlice are really good with breaking organic matter down for compost. I used to have a grey mini lop called Bugs who liked digging them out of the wall.

Many years ago people used to eat woodlice and they are packed with nutrients but they are better cooked rather than eating raw. There are many different species of woodlice, they are actually crustaceans that live on land. There are a species of woodlice called pill bugs, the more rounded ones that roll up in to balls and the Romans used to eat those to cure headaches.

I don't like spiders tho. Those creep me out, I have a lot of false widow spiders in my home but I don't mind theses and they tend to stay where the plants are so I leave them to their own business but the huge creepy hairy huntsman type spiders give me shivers down my spine. I don't like those ones at all.

Love woodlice, they are like mini armadillos
I used to get really upset finding them dead, every day, in the bunnies outside water bowl. I tried putting stuff in the bowl so the woodlice could get out, nothing worked, in the end I put a teaspoon in, the same way you would in a cup and found NO DEAD WOODLICE! OK one, just one, he must've been old or drunk. I make sure I put the water bowl against an edge, with the end of the spoon pointed towards the edge, so when the rabbits drink they don't poke their eyes! I don't worry about the inside bowls as I've never seen a woodlice drown inside...

Lord Trellis. I really did learn something today, from this ancient thread. The pill woodlice, which since a kid, I've always thought looked like Armadillos, are also known as armadillo woodlice! I never knew that. Their Latin name is Armadillidium vulgare meaning "little armadillo".
