Help with sleepy rabbit and gut care pending next vet appointment

My rabbit Chippy has been unwell since Tuesday, it’s now Sunday. Very quiet and not eating Tuesday and turned out he had what vet thought was a small scratch on his ear, but didn’t think it was infected.
Been treating for stasis, pushing food. Saw another vet and had antibiotics Wednesday as the ear was hot and swollen. Revisit Thursday and different vet said gut is more important which ABs won’t help, so didn’t give them.
He perked up a lot yesterday - eating selectively himself, and played a bit. Today was very lethargic again, and very sensitive to the sore ear.
Taken him to emergency vet today who found the ear is very sore, with a couple of scratches and one area necrotic. Given gut stim, oral antibiotics. And vetergesic - I wish I hadn’t let them give this as he was eating a little earlier but is now sleepy, almost comatose. They are referring to exotic vet and I hope to take him in the morning (12 hours) but would like advice on anything I can do to get him a bit more awake and moving/eating

I also hope that you get on well with the exotics vet today. I hope the effects of the Vetergesic have worn off by now too.

A rabbit in pain will not eat and not eating can cause gut stasis, so it is always a challenge to balance pain relief enough to control pain without resulting in prolonged periods of lethargy and not eating,
