Fur and climate

Hello to everyone,
I apologize for not coming to the forum more often. But I love you all and I think about you all the time 🩷🩷

There is something very strange that caught my attention. As you know, I first had Cookie in Turkey, then I moved to the Netherlands, then I returned to Turkey again. The way Cookie changes his fur is quite different in the Netherlands and Turkey, this caught my attention. In the Netherlands it was a longer and more difficult shedding period, I had to constantly comb and clean him. In Turkey, he mostly changes his fur completely and sheds it. I can easily clean his fur more easily with my hand. Here it seems like his fur change is quicker and easier, his furs seem to fall out all at once, not like in the Netherlands. Isn't it strange that the way they change their fur is different because of the climate? Has anyone ever experienced this? 😅

This is interesting although I have always lived in UK. Rabbits are allegedly from southern Spain so maybe they act more naturally in a warm climate. Hope you and Cookie are well. xx

Thank you so much we are going through very busy times, but we are fine. This caught my attention, it is really easy for Cookie to shed in Turkey, this is very interesting, I really wonder if anyone has noticed this in hot climates 😅 Also how are you?

I live in a cool climate most of the year and the shedding varies from bunny to bunny. My newest bunny, Peter took a very long time to shed recently, though some areas of his body seemed to go faster than others. Our weather had a big warm up for a week before it got cool again, so perhaps you are right.

Haha so interesting, actually isn't this an interesting observation? From what I understand, even rabbits love the heat 😅😅😅
