Farewell my brave & beautiful Boobly Bear

Thanks everyone ❤️

Eddy seems ok, a little subdued. He had a forlorn looking face yesterday but I did hear zoomies this morning. He is pretty much sticking to his routines & eating well. I asked the vet to prescribe him a wee course of panacur which he started on friday.
Bless him, glad he seems to be doing well, and has been doing zoomies, please give him a nose rub from me and George xx

I've managed a small head rub off you both...he is a little more reluctant than usual to accept loves :( He's sticking by me though, hanging in whatever room I settle in. Poor boy is not only missing Boo but Bob is working away

Oh bless him, of course he misses his Boobly, it's so hard when they don't understand, glad he's sticking by you though. Big hugs for you both xx

I was very sad to read your news just now 😢 Boo had my heart when I read your post about Boo and her therapy. She was the cutest little thing on your photos of her ❤️ She is now hopping around in a meadow of hay and her favourite forage with her Joey again 🩷🩵

Eddy is still sad & probably very bored too. Other than the one zoomie we've not had a single binky or zoomie since 3 days before Boo died :(

I've been searching rescues avidly. Since moving to Lancs I've adopted one bun from here (wouldn't do that again), 2 from RSPCA Altrincham (where Boo & Eddy came from) & Joey we got from a rescue near Accrington. & Mouse from Camp Nibble.

Camp Nibble no longer exists, RSPCA Altrincham doesn't have a single bun listed (confusing as they were an excellent rabbit savvy RSPCA who foster their buns, 2.5 years ago when I last looked they had loads of buns Theres another rescue who are fab (Rabbit Rescue North West) - they have no single females who aren't reserved, though they have boys & couples. Aghhhh.

The rescue Joey comes from has an unspayed girl & a lop. Our criteria is kinda medium sized (no size extremes), female, uppy ears, reasonably young. I forget where but there is also a lovely dutch girl who is v high energy - rescued with 50 other rabbits. Her write up says she can probably be bonded in time but thats not fair on Eddy (though I do reckon our house would be perfect for her as its really quiet, no other pet species & she could free roam)

If anyone knows of any other rescues who might rehome to East Lancs please shout out

Oh poor Eddy, I'm no help I'm afraid, but am wishing you lots of luck in finding him a friend. I'm sure someone will know xx

Single girls are sooo hard to find. Burrowed Hearts is my local and they might be able to help find somebun too. If you get any who need a lift, I'm usually available and can overnight them here for a bit until everything's ready (assuming I don't have my own indoors AND the guinea pigs at the same time, although I could squeeze them into the office ;P).

Honeybunnies in Leicestershire Rehome nationwide. What about Ivy Dene in Leeds, there's another in Wakefield/Pontefract sort of area - I think called Yorkshire Rabbit Retreat. I am not sure of distance for rehoming with the Yorkshire ones

Poor Eddy missing his Boo😞. It is still early days, so he may improve with more time.
I hope you can find the right match for him, though the right bunny may be worth the wait as long as it is not excessively long.

Might be worth trying BARC and rspca Manchester and Salford branch
I was coming back as I had remembered BARC, I don't know why I didn't think of them first. There's also Furever Loved in Keighley (general small animals so might not even have any rabbits currently).

I don't feel like I can wait too long, as with everything rabbit I expect there will be compromises along the way
