Preitler
Alpha Buck
She tried jumping the gap between a stair and a crate, got stuck in that gap that gets more narrow downwards at belly level, between ribs and pelvis. I fear, for up to 8 hours, found her when I came home from work. She can't use her back legs now. Doesn't look like something's broken, well, at least bones, she does eat somewhat but when she tried to move she dragged her rear legs. Vet opens 0900 tomorrow, I put her on a generous dose of meloxicam. She does eat jummy stuff, goutweed, hogweed, but is mostly passive. She did drink water when offered.
Dotty is one of my two house bunnies, just 5 or 6yo. I can't tell how gutted I feel, this was all my fault, i was too stupid and lazy to prevent that trap.
I reckon, rest, pain meds and offering food and water now and then, and seeing the vet tomorrow is the most sensible course of action..
