Difficulty litter training

I adopted two females about 6 weeks ago and bonded them with my male. One is great with the litter box but the other is proving more difficult to train. She is spayed and has seen the vet to rule out any physical cause.

They have underbed storage boxes as litter trays and currently also have 2 cat litter trays, which I am trying to place in areas she habitually pees.

I have tried different litters and they were bonded in a small space which is gradually being increased. With all my previous bunnies, this technique has worked for litter training. When the space was very small, she went in the tray, but as soon as it gets bigger, she uses the floor again.

I’m currently trying to put multiple trays in popular places, with the intention of gradually moving them towards the main trays and removing them. This is not working so far.

I’ve tried mopping up and putting the tissues in the box, with no luck.

I’m aware that the bonding and changes in their pen could have had an impact on behaviour. Has anyone else had similar experiences and been successful in the lond run?
Also, does anyone have any other tips for litter training? She also seems to have a knack for sitting in it afterwards, so I’m always worried about urine scald.

In case I can’t manage to litter train her, does anyone have any tips for managing a non- litter trained rabbit whilst free-roaming? I don’t have a spare room for them, so it’s free roaming or I move out of the bedroom and sleep on the sofa!

It is good she was using the litter tray before her space was increased, so that is a start. My newest bunny still insists on peeing and pooping on the floor. She even moves the pads and litter box out of the way when I put it in the areas where she pees. Like your bunny, mine will pee again in the wet area and can get it on her feet or tail if I did not wipe it first. Mine is in a pen and I was hoping she would improve after her spay three weeks ago so I could bond her with my male, so I have no advice on dealing with a free roam bunny yet hope someone else can help you.
I will add another litter tray as you are doing and I hope both our girls figure it out soon.

We’ll get there in the end with them. I’m hoping that once I can get the pen big enough for them to live in it for a bit and they are settled in their trio, she will have a bit of consistency and will settle down. The constant changes associated with a new home and bonding probably don’t help.

One of my free roam house rabbits (don't know which, m+f , both neutered) used to pee just beside the litter box, I put some big stones there that aren't a real obsticle but make it really uncomfortable to squat there and pee. Works for me,
