Wise Old Thumper
This photo was taken about an hour before Dara was PTS. How she presented as being ‘well’ is incomprehensible. The only reason I found a mass was during her weekly health check. There were no other symptoms at all. She had a CT scan and the results came as a huge shock. But at least it meant Dara did not suffer. We gave her a few days of lots of treats and TLC. She did become slightly more lethargic and started to drink vast amounts of water. But the thing that led to us letting her go yesterday was the rate of tumour growth. In just a few days it almost doubled in size. It was only a matter of time before a catastrophic event occurred.
My Vet has carried out a PM and the findings so far are exceptionally unusual. We are awaiting the findings from samples sent to the path’ lab. Whilst any information gained cant help Dara it might help other Rabbits and the knowledge gained will benefit my wonderful Vet.
Thank you again to those who have responded to Dara’s thread x
