very happy to see you post this on my bus to work this morning as decided to leave em to it - they had full 47 hours so seemed silly to split. Got home & they both fine. Got myself a Chibbs & barrie (but with gender reversal)....unless they secretly getting loved up behind the armchair??Since yesterday they both go behind there lots, no evidence of scuffles. Its my one blind spot & I'm kinda over it with bonding so rarely botherget up & look

Thank you PM. It doesnt feel like mission complete but I guess its up to them if they want to stay in the friend zone. At least they have bunny company.

So they have been left for 2 days (6-7 hours) & survived. I confess to another night on the sofa though - which is kinda pointless as I hear stuff (think I identified noises akin to chasing, binkying & humping) but cba to pen eyes even though I leave the light on "so I can respond quickly"

Last night saw eddy being more gentle in his approaches. This means Chinook can get close. so what does she do? tries to hump him & ask for groomies. Both requests get him riled. Honestly what is the point of running away like a subservient little lamb for 6 weeks (& counting) only to make a bid for dominance herself by asking for this stuff. During bonding is humping & requests for grooming always about dominance or can it just mean "I like you" or "I like being groomed / humping"??

Ohhhh, as I type Chinook approached Eddy, who was flopped in his fave spot. He hasn't got up & she her face nestled in by his ear. Bodies not touching - they are in a V shape. AwwwwwwCutie pies. Just lying head to head, not asking for anything

So Eddy got his tongue out again, then tried to hump her...she was having none of it. To date she is the humper, not him.

Gotta say I find it all very confusing.

This also means today i Eddy's birthday. We'd always guesstimated his birthday to be around November time & decided the day we first see groomies can be his birthday. Chinook has a reasonably accurate birthday so it seems unfair Eddy didn't. He is 5 years young No gifts of course as we never imagined it would actually happen It does mean they can have their joint Christmas gift though, on the 25th, which is a cat tree / tower. It arrived today

Chinook does give me a few kisses sometimes I do miss proper bunny groomies too though

I've been quietly watching this thread and sending you all bonding vibes. I didn't want to jump in and congratulate everyone on making great progress as I do have a habit of jinxing people (I'm personally responsible for two house sales falling through!).

But I am going to risk it now and say that they do seem to be heading in right direction, so well done everyone! It does seem very similar to Fudgie and Scipio's bond. They would take a few baby steps forward and then plateau a bit, followed by more baby steps, then rinse and repeat. But they did end up very loved up, so don't get disheartened if things feel like they're going slowly for now. They will get there

You describe their bond so well. Thank you - ever since my last evening of posting I'm feeling much more reassured. I have bonded bunnies, it just needs cementing now. I knew there was no malice but couldn't relax fully til the snuggles & kisses came. Its good to hear they could get better & better, like your Fudgie & Scipio (I hope you are both ok). They arent super loved up but we see very regular snuggles & kisses - they tend to pick lone spots for daytime snoozing.

I've been re-introducing a few things. Mucho excitement with the wicker house ; Chinook proceeded to destroy the foam mattress in it but had fun doing it. Eddy got pointy faced again for a while Today the armchair legs finally went on. They were very interested but no bad reactions. At the weekend I'm going to introduce them to halls / stairs landing...& possibly bedroom if it goes well

Best of luck I always say Chibbs and Barrie are pretending they like each other if they sit together XD I never had any real issues opening up spaces, certainly not after the first one, the first tube-into-run. Bit of light chasing then but nothing bad.

at the pointy face! I loved reintroducing things to Frosty and Fern, I was so excited to give them the bunny room and then later Frosty Towers - his bachelor pad cat tree mansion!
