Chinook

Aslong as its not half a cup of tea. 🤣
she can have all the tea - vile stuff 🤣

So throughout the day we put them in a hay filled box and made them body smoosh. Did this 3-4 times, increasing time each
Not much to report from this, we considered it an exercise in getting up close & feeling nice.

Oh and I told them i'm top bun round here🤣(y)

Oooh well done. I'm def not brave enough to put them that close, I'd be so scared they bite each other. You are def top bun keep going with that attitude

don't forget there's an intercepty hand between them. i have light contact with eddys jaw at all times, so i can feel the tension.. they chose to put their heads close together in the final session.

think the calming spray might be helping eddy a little

Ah hah you have a secret hand to save the day. I'm glad they put their heads together and I hope the spray is working.

Well done J & B, I love the top bun attitude, sounds like they might be getting the message, glad to hear that the "love potion" may be having an affect on Eddy 😍

Hello top bun. 👸 Do we have to courtesy?
It is good to hear what you are trying to get these two lovely bunnies bonded. Sending lots of vibes it will get them acclimated to each other and Eddy will recognize your superiority.

I wonder what would make Eddy feel better. Groomies? A really big mouthful of fur? The taste of blood? I also wonder what they are saying when they eyeball each other.

Chinook totally failed to read the room yesterday, bounding & digging. Eddy still doesn't appreciate her joy.

We are currently using the divider to give them a smaller space within the lounge. Enough so they can get away for some time out which I feel is important for Eddy & encompasses both litter trays which is important for me 🤣 I'm going to stick with this. I just wish I had more time.

Dunno if its positive but no territorial pees yesterday. Eddy is sometimes relaxed & not wanting to go for Chinook, sometimes not

Does chinook fight back? Or is it more Eddy chasing and giving her a nip? Do you trust him not to hurt her yet? Or are you watching him like a hawk?
I'm surrounded in territorial wee. I haven't added a litter tray yet? Have you found that helped or did it make them more grouchy?

So far I've not seen any aggression from my girl, in any situation. I don't trust him, no. the litter trays worked well here. They never share but often use them at the same time. their introduction made me less grouchy

A little update. Tuesday night (I think) & Wednesday (defo) they were good in small space & Eddy subdued his bitey urges...enough for Chinook to spend lots of times snuggling in to him. She still sidles in to his bum or side though...can't say I blame her. i've photos but they are just grey & black splodges, unidentifiable as rabbits, never mind my rabbits 🤣 Eddy let Chinook join him in a litter tray for bum snuggles, twice, without reacting.

Yesterday I only had 2 hours to spare & Eddy was feeling chasey again & did a biggish fur pull in the litter tray. There is lots of mirroring though & they are laying closer. Chinook puts in the work of trying to get close & Eddy, variably, put in the work of containing his inner beast.

I should have got the banana out on Wednesday. Bob says its too soon

The last 2 nights Eddy is back to being v chasey & is pulling fur. The fur pulls are worse for her when she is in small space. No positives really - ie no lying next to each other or successfully entering the others litter tray. i sat down with eddy last night & apologised for getting grumpy & trying to stop him doing what he must (chase0 & have promised to try & back off more if he sticks to chasing without the fur pulling.

What I want to do, to allow him to get some of the chasing out of his system is to give them the whole room again. I can't bare to see her lose fur all the time & if I'm to let him chase her as much as he wants (within reason, so long as she doesn't fight back or get too stressed) she has a much better history of getting away with no fur pull if she more space & things to jump on to.

She is such an elegant jumper  last night Bob was trying to round her up & put a hand out to stop her but she just leapt straight over it. He said he just felt a brief rush of air over his hand as she was gone 🤣
