What a beautiful piece of art to commemorate lovely Sophie its so lovely

I miss Boo's snoring too, & the gulpy, squeaky, slurpy drinking. If only they could live forever, or at least return for holidays or something. A third of your life is a lot, especially since that is more than half of your adult life. She was a great bunny & you were extremely lucky to share all her long & rich life with you, it just hard navigating such a big loss, no matter how inevitable.

You're right, j&b, she was with me for almost all of my adult life, as I adopted her when I was 22 and I'm 36 now... Thank you for sharing that you miss Boo's snoring, too, and her drinky noises. It's those little things that become such a normal part of life that are so noticeable when they're missing, isn't it...

You did a wonderful job designing and making the beautiful collection of Sophie photos, especially the multi level mats around each photo. Sending you and Casper lots of hugs that the good memories can comfort you, I will miss seeing Sophie and Casper tangled together so it was hard to see where one bunny ended and the other began.

Aw, thank you so much, bunny momma. I'm sorry, I must've forgotten to reply to your post, though I did read it earlier. They did tend to blend into each other

I made a card and a little sign to thank the vets for how well they cared for Sophie during her life, and Casper, too, and to say how much I appreciated that they let me say goodbye to her at home so peacefully, with the vet being so calm and reassuring.



The sign says, "Thank you for what you (plural) do for animals every day". I've never made something out of wood before, so it's all a quite wonky-looking... But I guess that's not unlike Sophie... I felt so drained after our appointment yesterday that I just handed the envelope to the vet nurse after paying, said they could open it later, and hurried out of the door. She did open it right away, though, and called a quick, "This is so sweet! Thank you!" after me, so I hope they don't think it's horrible.

This is so beautiful reader, this is the kind of stuff that makes people cry tears of joy. If the wood looks wonky, then it must be artist's eye syndrome, because it looks amazing to me.
