Casper & Saar

Oh no, sorry to hear that your alarms went off, when mine have done that, I've nearly had heart failure ! but we definitely need them don't we ? Just glad everything was OK though, that's the main thing 😊.
Aw, thank you. I'm sorry it's happened to you, too! It's certainly a shock when they go off, isn't it? Although it has happened so regularly here that when it happens these days I'm mostly like, "Ugh, not again", instead of, "Oh, no, a fire!"

I had a smoke alarm wake me and it was disorienting. It seemed like a false alarm, yet I was not sure at that time so had trouble relaxing. Obviously Saar does not have that problem!

We set off a smoke alarms this week because of some burnt toast. Oops. Pip didnt move. Bumble went into full alert mode. 😆, he must find it so confusing that she doesn't react to anything other than food packets crinkling.

She really doesn't  It's an awful way to wake up, isn't it?

See, Bumble had an appropriate reaction to a smoke alarm going off  Pip sounds as unconcerned as Saar. These silly girls only caring about food.

it's not food it's not worth waking up for?? :ROFLMAO:
This should be my new motto!!!

I'm glad your house is okay. Our neighbors house was on fire last week after their son was playing with the grill tank 😬. Everyone was fine though, but their house is super sooty inside. I'm glad it was a false alarm for you!

Yes, we could all learn something from Saar 🤣

Thank you. That's terrible that your neighbour's house was on fire! What a relief that everyone's okay, aside from the very sooty house. That must be a real pain to get clean.

I have some recent photos. They really would look a lot nicer if Casper and Saar would use the litter tray, though :ROFLMAO: Aren't rabbits supposed to naturally want to go in one spot??

Here's Casper taking a nap:

"Do you have food for me?" is probably what she was thinking here:

And a cuddle:

We had an animal physio visiting Casper today. He's been really struggling with his balance while he washes himself and falls over pretty much every time. She said his back is really stiff (because of his arthritis and inactivity) and he falls over because he can't bend as much as he tries to, so she gave him a massage to get everything more loose again, which he seemed to like. She gave me some recommendations on how to help him, too, so we'll see. She has bunnies herself, two French lops, and said Saar's food obsession was very familiar to her and thought it must be a lop thing :ROFLMAO:

I've gotten a (secondhand) microchip cat flap for Casper's food house, so he doesn't have to squeeze himself through the narrow tunnel each time (though we're keeping the tunnel for back up in case the cat flap fails). I'll need to show him how it works, but he's clever, so I'm sure he'll get it soon.

Don't be dismayed if they're not using the litter box, reader. They're just spreading the love 😆

I've heard of cat and dog massages, but a bunny massage? That's pretty cool! I wish we had that kind of stuff where I'm at. We recently just lost our only rabbit vet, and now there's no one around to spay Cinnamon and Chika 😤.

Saar has so much personality, I love seeing her little facial expressions! I do have a question th ough, if you're willing to share? How come you named her Saar? It was such an interesting name, I tried looking it up, but Google hates me rn😆

Is that what it is :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I thought it was cool, too! I'm really sorry you've lost your only bunny vet and now have no one to spay Cinnamon and Chika :( Does that mean there's no good vet available in case they get health issues, too?

She does have a lot of personality, haha. It's fine to ask, I don't mind! (I think Google hates everyone these days :ROFLMAO:) It's a pretty normal name where I live, in the Netherlands. It's short for Sara(h), usually, but I liked plain Saar better. Sara(h) would be way too fancy for a bunny as silly as her😁

Saar has a lovely face ❤️ I like your selection of cute & cosy photos, as always
I'd like to shrink myself down & join Casper for a cuddle on his mattress topped bed, though
I'm sure Casper would not be best pleased about it ....or you for that matter🤣 Lucky for everybun
that dream isn't coming true

You photos capture their personalities. Casper looks very comfortable in his bed with his head on the padded portion of the snuggle bed! I wonder what he dreams about because he is already living my dream of sleeping in the sunshine, getting massages, getting groomed, and having someone to clean his bathroom/house, meals prepared and delivered, and a good friend.

Saar is looking very cute. I hope she figures out the litter box soon. My first lop is starting to put most pee in one corner, though not in the litter box with the hay. Poos are scattered. I will see if this changes after her spay.

Yeah, he loves cuddles, but only if you're a rabbit, not a human, no matter how small :ROFLMAO:

Love the photos and i'd love to cuddle up with the buns too. 😍 I particularly like "bunny in a bag" 😆
Aww, thank you. I'd love to, too, but they wouldn't love to cuddle up with us :ROFLMAO:

Beautiful photos, as always Reader, I agree with Mervinius, I'm loving the bunny in the bag 😍
Thank you, PM. She loves that bag, haha.

When you put it like that, I wouldn't mind being him, either :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for hoping she figures it out. She does know what it's for, as she does go in and pees in it at times, but I think with Casper doing his business everywhere, there's little chance of my convincing her that it would be nice if she, at least, did everything in the litter tray! Sounds like Goldie hasn't gotten it quite figured out yet, aw. Maybe her spay will help, yes.

Its weird that when we got Eddy all his pees & poops went in the litter tray - even in the same part of the litter tray. The pee & poop parties started when he was bonded to Boo - that sounds similar to Saar. They have the capability but not the motivation for some reason we have yet to fathom.
Eddy then used his tray perfectly between wives but went back to doing some pees and lots of poops outside the litter tray once bonded to Chinook - she always uses the tray

It's funny that he was so neat in his bachelor days and then got so messy when he had his wives. Saar was much tidier before bonding, but like Eddy abondonded her neat ways once she was bonded. Bunnies, they sure are mysterious creatures.
