Casper & Saar

Saar's food obsession has gotten worse as she tried to eat my finger the other night, though not intentionally, I hope :ROFLMAO: I was about to put some greens on the floor, but she couldn't wait a second longer and tried to grab them herself... but got a fingertip instead, oops. She really bit down and wouldn't let go! Thankfully, eventually she seemed to remember she's not a carnivore. The taste of blood and my very loud swearing didn't seem to bother her, though :ROFLMAO: It really, really hurt! Casper did get a bit spooked by the whole thing, poor boy.

Now that I have Saar to compare him to, it's really noticeable how inactive Casper is. Sophie slept the whole day, so Casper was the more active bunny of the two, but Saar's much more active. She's 4 years younger, of course, but still. I want to encourage him to move a bit more. The warm weather this week hasn't helped at all, though.

I bet that really did hurt! Pip does that to me sometimes when shes super excited about a treat, but as she has no teeth its not an issue. I say I've just been gummed everytime 😆

I very much doubt that i cant sew for toffee but i do like that fabricz the original bed i made for Sophie and Casper ♥️ please show us your creation BM, pref with a bunny model
I will polish my snuggle bed making skills and make one for my new bunny girl once she decides fleece blanket is not for peeing. The fleece I put it in her litter box stayed pee free.😂

Oh dear, sorry to hear about your ouchy finger. That paints quite a picture. Saar the vampire bun. Poor lil Casper - he really is a sensitive soul isn't he. I wonder if anything in Saar's past has led to her being such a greedy sausage. I mean we'll never know but it does make you think

Thank you. I think it's maybe because she lived in a group with three other bunnies? Maybe she had to be a greedy sausage or her friends would eat everything! She definitely doesn't have to worry about that with Casper, so maybe she'll relax a bit in time, haha.

Some recent photos:

She looks like his bodyguard here :ROFLMAO:

He still likes his ear hats:

And sunbathing, too ❤️

They still really like their tent house, too:

I was going to take a picture of Casper and immediately Saar was there; I'm assuming she was thinking something like, "IS THAT FOOD IN YOUR HAND" :ROFLMAO:

I'm not paranoid, but I think they're gossiping about me here:

Aw beautiful photos, as always Reader. Is that a little bunny picnic bench I can see, you do find them some lovely things 😊

Saar looks like she is at an altar or something, praying. No doubt for more edibles. This is a wonderful collection. Saar does look like a body guard in that first pic 🤣 , one I wouldn't want to mess with either. It warms my heart to see Casper looking all cosy & snuggly with Saar. How did he first react to ear hats? Was he on board with them straightaway? I can't remember any adverse reaction when Joey & Boo bonded. However when Eddy & Boo got cuddly I think poor Eddy got sensory overload from all the fluff & the ear descending in to ear hat would often finish him off🤣🤣
He'd cuddle a while then remove himself for a frantic clean. His face would go all twitchy then he could Boobly bare it no more. He did get used to them (earhats & Boo fluff) after a few weeks

Saar is the best bunnyguard! Between earhats and bunny warming, she's looks like she's on top of it! I do love that bunny mobile too, did you make that yourself?

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but our pets always gossip about us when we're not around. Sometimes my girls will run back inside the hutch to have a quick laugh at me before they come back...

Aw, thank you. It is; I thought it was so cute when I saw it, I decided they needed their own picnic bench, haha.

She does look like she's praying :ROFLMAO: I think he liked her ear hats right away. Or least didn't mind them. Sounds like Eddy had quite some trouble with Boo's at the start, though, poor boy :ROFLMAO: Eddy didn't have any friend(s) before Boo, right? Casper might've had ear hats before; I don't know if his friend before Sophie was maybe loppy. It's good Eddy got used to the fluff and ear hats after a few weeks so his Boo cuddles weren't quite so overwhelming.

"Bunnyguard", I love it, haha. I bought the bunny mobile a couple of years ago. It was on a big, heavy base, though, and took up a lot of space, so I thought last week that I'd just attach it to their picnic table for space-saving.

Aw, gosh. Well, I guess we can't blame them; humans must seem so silly to bunnies.

They are lovely photos of both bunnies. It is wonderful that Casper has a new friend to keep him warm and ear hats for extra coziness! Does Saar move her ears around a lot? My new lop,Goldie, moves her ears up when I talk to her.

Glad Casper still likes his ear hats!

I love love love their wooden tent. Quite wonderful. Where is it from?

Aw, thank you. I'm so glad he likes her so much ❤️ She used to move her ears lots when she just got here; she'd move them forward and to the sides a lot, and would put one of her ears straight up. I was surprised, because I didn't know loppy ears could move so much! I don't see her move them much these days, though. I'm guessing because she's gotten used to all the sounds and has learned that I don't have anything interesting to say :ROFLMAO:

Aw, thanks! I got it from Zooplus here, but I don't see it on the UK Zooplus website, so I don't think they sell it? Bunny Nature have a tent with the same design, but it seems sold out everywhere: https://www.amazon.co.uk/bunny-NATURE-by-puppijames-Zeltbett/dp/B08ZKG7ZC2

I don't know much about Eddy's previous life. The police removed him from a house when they were there to remove at risk children so I've no info about other pets, partners etc, his age is guesswork. I'm very grateful on this occasion the police took action to protect animals as well as little people

Ah, I remember now. I'd forgotten what his background was. I'm so glad he was taken out of there with the kids.

I was woken up last night by the smoke detector in the living room going off. No fire, thankfully; it just does that sometimes. The one in the kitchen went off a few hours later, waking me up again, and again no smoke anywhere. I can't stand the things but obviously wouldn't want to be without them, either. But I'm getting sidetracked... So, anyway, I hurried to the living room to turn it off, and once it stopped I heard Saar peacefully snoring away. How can she possibly sleep through one of the most annoying noises in the world, designed specifically to wake people up, screaming at high volume just a few meters away. She's definitely not deaf, so I guess if it's not food it's not worth waking up for?? :ROFLMAO:

Oh no, sorry to hear that your alarms went off, when mine have done that, I've nearly had heart failure ! but we definitely need them don't we ? Just glad everything was OK though, that's the main thing 😊.
