If anyone uses a dog/puppy crate as a bunny house, can i see pictures please? x

and if you are interested, the puppy play pens can be a rectangle shape instead of round. lino under (haven't put my lino down yet) mesh on top, perfect base

This is for while Poppy is inside And for when she gets spayed and when Donny gets neutered It changed a lot. And then she gets moved from my boyfriends house to my house so they change again ^^

My room - because she can't free-range in mine :?

At bf's - Looks very different now but this was taken about a month ago

She has a box which she sits on, it has her litter tray in it

well at the moment she is in the kitchen and has a indoor cage as her base, but she has free access to the whole area all day and night because the cage is too small for her to be shut in there.
But i have to go back to work full time and i won't be able to spend all the time that i have been with her during the day. So i was thinking about bringing her into the living room so she could be with us, she just wouldn't be able to be out while i was at work.
I don't no what to do for the best,

how much space do you have in the living room?

if it's for all day while you are at work, a 48" dog cage with a pen attached would be the best option to give her a good amount of space.

if you could give her one wall, then you could go for the rectangle shape with the pen like i did - it makes the room look less "messy" than with the pen in the round shape.

well i've just measured up and we fit a 42in one, and add a shelf with a run, do you think that would be ok? Its only for 4 days one week and 2 the next (shifts) and the rest she'll be out.

what size would the run be? do you mean a playpen?

I have these large metal panels that join together and it would prob be just bigger then the cage.
I've been sitting here staring at the all and i think i could fence of enough of the room to give her access to the kitchen as well.

heres mine but it no longer looks like that now. its bigger and has a couple of extra things but this should be of some help.

im on about putting a cat flap on it later. ive thought it all through and altogether its gonna cost me about £30 im also gonna have a secound level put on the dog crate as well.

scooter loves his new home he did use to live in just a cage so u can imagine how happyer he is now. his current home if 8ft by 3ft.

i've been thinking about using puppy pads on the bottom of my bunnies base but im scared they will start chewing on them, has anyone used these and had any problems? and do you have to use the ones without puppy "attractant" chemicals? i would assume so...

I saw some pictures on the first page, just wondering how you found them

I've had Smudge chew them and then go into mild stasis so you have to keep a good eye that they don't chew them.

hmmm.... i was just wondering because skipper and bambi keep messing up their blankets/crate mats that i put down for them. he loves digging them! even though i've given him a digging box and everything..

he's a HUGE chewer so i guess the puppy pads wouldn't work out for me! thanks for the advice!

I think all bunnies dig blankets tbh. I just rearrange them each day. I think it makes a fun game for them! :lol:

haha yeah i have to do that too, however they seem to be pooping on the one crate mat so i have to do poop scooping too! such a pain, i figured the puppy pads would at least absorb a little bit of the pee

Have no idea why they went off their litter training either! gr!

scooters really bad for that and if u manage to make it so the blanket stays in place. he gets grumpy and starts ripping it and chewing at it.

i get really annoyed because i have to rearrange them every couple of hours or otherwise he attacks the carpet.
