Bumble and Pip

TBF mine snooze all day. They actually work nights, start 9-10pm, clock off 8a.m, Chinook sometimes puts in overtime. She is more interior design, Eddy is a carpenter..of sorts
Pip likes to eat whenever we are which is hilarious. But otherwise she sleeps, Bumble had a binkython at 10am then has slept all day. He def wakes up again 9-10pm for mayhem 😆. I like that Eddy and Chinook have suitable roles that go together. 😆

We do that. If the buns are about & we have a meal they always have a meal (forage usually) at the same time. They aren't actually present with us in the lounge much tho

They're both looking very cute and also very healthy.

There's no point in bunnies doing "interesting" things when humans are around. Far better when humans are asleep and therefore bunnies are out of sight.

It is nice Pip has regained the weight she lost when sle lost Archie. She is very shiny too. My lionheads were getting double breakfast by playing ‘starving bunnies’ with both of us. To counteract that, the night before, I portion out their breakfast or treats in a separate container so both of us know what they ate. Bumble looks very handsome and it is nice he has Pip for a friend.

They are both on super shiny mode. Pip says its because shes been eating lots of treats. 😆 thats a good idea, we've gone down the route of only Dan is giving them treats! I do hay and forage. Then they cant trick me... well I say they, its mainly Pip. She's so good at doing starving bun.

The Jackalope and his girlfriend, Princess Pip have had another day free roaming the house. Which makes the 3rd day this week. Both have been very well behaved which I expected from Pip. Bumble I still feel is lulling me into a false sense of security. As you can ee they've mainly been sleeping!
I'm not sure what to do as the next stage though.

Archie and Pip were accidently left out one night during lock down and we never locked them back in unless we had workmen etc around. We were around a lot during lockdown obviously so kept an eye on the buns. We dont have that luxury now. We both work full time, so the buns would definitely be unattended except for days off. The house is as bun safe as we can make it including cables etc.
Archie and Pip never chewed soft things like rugs And i have no concerns over Pip, Bumble as you know def is more of a chewer, but this behaviour has calmed down loads. I don't mind the damage, just dont want him eating loads of something and causing him tummy troubles.
Any ideas?
Also I need some new rugs/blankets for their flooring. The chewed them so much when he first came here they are starting to fall apart. Lol. Im looking for cotton throws without tassels, but struggling to find any. I annoyingly cant remember when I got there current ones, but I think they are a sofa throws.

Bumble has a very cute white tummy. Pip looks comfortable next to her young buck too.

Can you get cotton flannel pillowcases and cut a piece of cotton quilt batting to put inside if you want it thicker? Then you just need to find a way to fold over/close up the open end.

Bumble's Autumn look is quite distinctive :D

For throws without tassels, I would have a look at some of the online Fair Trade companies. The'd also be cotton, so could probably be OK to wash occasionally.

It is very cute isn't it. He says its only for looking at though. No cuddling. 😆

That's a good idea but its a very large area. The lounge is all laminate and he won't go on it. So need to cover most of it.

Yes i think thats where i may have gotten the last ones.

Aww, his punk hardio has leveled up  I agree that his white tummy is very cute.

I can relate to your free roaming situation feelings. With Sophie and Casper I never had to worry and they just had freedom all day and night, and I thought that if the house was safe for them while I was there, it would be safe for them while I wasn't there, too. But with Saar I feel like she's way too curious for her own good and like she would get herself into trouble :ROFLMAO: I think we need to weigh the pros and cons... Does the benefit of them having more space more of the time outweigh the possible (small?) risk that they'd get in trouble while unsupervised? I would say yes, but I don't know if that helps you, because even thinking that, I'm still closing the baby gate to their room before I go to bed, having visions of finding Saar stuck on top of a cactus in the morning :ROFLMAO: Maybe we just need to do it and see how it goes? And make adjustments if/when possible unsafe issues pop up?

Yes i agree with all of that. Sometimes you just need to take the plunge, just need convince my other half.
Luckily I have no cacti he can get stuck on or eat 😆, but we do have a nice velvet sofa that i have visions of him tunneling into. 😆

That's at least one fewer thing to worry about  I can see why you're concerned about your nice sofa, though

My two little voids decided to make a formal protest and lie in front of their gate this morning.... I know they wanted to come out. Haven't convinced the other hoom in the house that its a good idea yet. 😆

I took the plunge last night... I let them have free roam for the first time. I kept waking up and wondering what they were up to. It was oddly quiet. However no disasters this morning! I then left them out while we both went to work, partner came home at 1pm to find them sleeping and no chewing had occurred.
Im concerned they are lulling me into a false sense of security, but so far so good.
Bumble was snoozing upstairs under the tunnel he got a bit spooked by the hoom coming home.
