Bonding q

I think I'd give it some time. She might relax once she gets to know him better, and lying close to each other is a good sign. I'd just make sure she keeps eating and drinking.

I haven't even put water in yet I didn't know if it was a good idea to begin with 😬 I'll put a bowl in

I'm not particularly good at this 😂

The male chasing the female and trying to hump her is perfectly normal behaviour during bonding and may last some time. As long as Clementine has places where she can run to, to get away, then it's all fine. This happened for a few hours when I bonded Froe and Tui. What isn't fine is if she turns on him and becomes aggressive. Then you'll have to step in.

Oh, yeah, put in some water. Though I wouldn't give them a very full water bowl or it would just get everywhere if they chase each other and you'd have two wet bunnies and a wet cage. 😂

Will do haha

Clementine keeps standing up at me and giving me the help look :'(1000081213.jpg

Oh bless him 😂 it's so hardd

Willoughby is always grooming her but also humping her, and she just wants him to leave her alone 😭 he even just humped her whilst she was laying down 🙄

He was like this with Apricot, wouldn't stop humping her and grooming her whilst they were bonding 😬 I think tbh it's all a bit much for Clementine. Hopefully it settles tho :(

They've laid together more, he's grooming her loads, she's groomed him a little bit on his face. She's also eating hay with him right there, so that seems positive!

It sounds like grunting to me. Just looked It up and apparently it is quite ‘normal’ for the female to grunt a bit when bonding as they are so territorial. The fact that she isn’t then lunging seems good. This is only what I’ve read, though, so someone with more experience may be more helpful.

Yea Idk she's making it rn and is asleep and not near him.. 😂 As long as it's normal then it's fine just worried in case it's not

Sophie sounds like that sometimes when she's snoring. Has she never done it before? I don't know if they can start snoring because of stress or something...

She makes that sound when she grooms, I think coz she's struggling coz she's overweight. But I never noticed such loud snoring but I don't normally sleep next to her plus my house is quite loud generally 😂 so I probably haven't noticed it? Idk

Ooh Graciee, don’t take my word for it.
No I did think maybe grunting! But it's mostly when she's sleeping 😂 I heard Willoughby grunt last night tho, sounded a bit different. Rabbits are so confusing I swear 😂 I don't feel like i don't know enough about them to be in charge of all this tbh 😂😂

Ah, Sophie does that, too. She makes a snoring sound when she grooms. When she started doing that years ago, the vet explained that there's some thingie in the back of their throat that can get a bit loose with age and that causes the snoring sound when they groom and sleep. Normally I'd say a bunny who suddenly started snoring should need a check up as I think they can start doing it because of repiratory issues, too, so maybe just keep an eye on it? But, yeah, maybe you're only noticing her snoring now that you're right next to her. 😁

Ahhh! Yea I've heard her snore before but not so much, but yea I'm not sleeping next to her so maybe that's why 😂 sometimes when I'm making dinner I heard it before tho.

How long before they can be left alone normally? It's not even been 24 hours yet, but the fights seem to have stopped, but they aren't always sitting together. They've both groomed each other and eaten together etc.

Idk if I can just be around or if I need to stay glued to them or not 😂 Google says so much Idk what to follow
