All my rabbits over the years. Bonding Snowflake and Moondust. Page 9 for latest bonding.

Some pics from today. Bonus pic of Rusty in the long grass. He is such a good dog.

It was funny seeing Snowflake and Moondust trying to eat the same bit of cavelo nero! Kind of like Lady and the Tramp with the spaghett
Aw beautiful pics 😍 nice to see Rusty, he looks a happy dog 😊

All well in bondsville. They are happy in their North facing run.

Shed is being slowly cleaned out. Will rearrange it and clean with water and vinegar.

Going to be hot for a while yet though.

I am considering putting them into the shed tomorrow ... now to get round to neutralising it!

That would be great. It is on my to do list but not currently got enough polystyrene to do the whole shed.

Will keep the run up as a stand by for warmer days.

Have the bunnies got a run attached to the shed? Our bunny shed gets hot during the day as the sun shines down on the roof. What we do, when we remember, is to shut the bunnies out of the shed early morning and mid-evening, while we keep the door wide open to let the cooler air in. Just doing it for about 30 minutes seems to help a little.

They have a run attached and a mesh door but it still gets very hot.

The run is about 7 x 5 so a good size. Moondust never uses it and they never chose to go in there when the shed was so hot!!!

Well. I have put them into a rearranged shed with a pile of willow.

They both investigated. Snowflake ate some willow. Moondust had a wash and they are now resting.

So far so wonderful.

Excellent ❤️ There's clearly no issues with them. So, job well done everyone :D

Remind me, which bunny was in the shed previously?

Remind me, which bunny was in the shed previously?

They had half the shed each and half the run each (not that Moondust ever went out). They have lived like that for the two years that I have lived in Somerset. Snowflake lost his doe, Daisy about a year ago and has had a weepy eye.

It is just so wonderful to see them so settled together. At last. The shed is around 12 x 8 and the run is 7 x 5 so decent space. Such a relief to have it done.

Next on the list is insulation.

I have taken Moondust's old hutch out of circulation and left Snowflakes hutch in use (sprayed with water and vinegar). Moondust was exploring it just now and Snowflake was sitting by one of the two entrances to the run.

I am so happy for them!

Just went in to say goodnight and to distribute dried herbs. They were just chilling in separate spaces, totally relaxed.

Said goodnight to the guinea pigs and Shimmer immediately put her paws up to the bars of the cage and started to bite them. I then gave her food and Saffron raced over to steal it from her. I then gave her more food. Lots of happy chomping ensued.

I love having the guinea pigs indoors. I also love having the rabbits in the shed now that they can share the nice big space. Always felt bad that they had to have half each before.
