A year ago today 😢

Wise Old Thumper
Can't believe it's been a year, since I let you go, my beautiful boy. It was an awful decision to make, but the right one for you, I promised you that I would never let you suffer, and you were helped to sleep at home, in your favourite spot, in the sunshine 😢.
I know you wouldn't have wanted me to be alone, and I firmly believe that you had a paw in bringing me and little Flora together. Every evening we say goodnight to your photo. Sleep well sweetheart, we'll be together again one day. 20160307_161640.jpg

Sending lots of hugs. I have found that grief, whether for pets or people, for me is a mixture between desperately missing the person or pet and smiling at precious memories of that person or pet. I realise that it's impossible to have the one without also experiencing the other. Time doesn't really change that for me, although the immediate rawness of grief does get less.

Beautiful George ❤️ you were the best friend & caretaker he could have had. I love that face

Big hugs Petsmum

Such a moving post. 😥 I've been lucky to have Squeegee still with me during the empty time since Ebon's passing and I've grown quite close to him, although he's technically my daughter's cat. Not quite certain what I would do without him now. Shadow has been an ambiguous addition as she truly prefers my son over me and doesn't like Squeegee. These cats who bond deeply with us (and other animals also) are truly a treasure. 🥰

Thinking of you as you fondly remember your dear friend. ❤️

So many hugs. George looks like he was such a wonderful cat. To fall asleep in the sunshine...I don't think you could've made that any more beautiful for him ❤️
