Happy Hopping
Wise Old Thumper
So I just adopted a bun, arrived last night, it's been 24 hr. The rabbit rescue told me he's a very shy / nervous rabbit. When he first arrive, he sits at the litter tray, not moving at all, for a few hr. So about 3 hr. later, the rabbit rescue told me to give him a cardboard box to resemble a cave to hide. As soon as that box is landed in the pen, he hides inside.
As recent as the day of the adoption, the rabbit rescue told me he's eating hay. But in the past 24 hr., I didn't see him eating hay. As to veggies, there is 1 coin of banana, 3 piece of organic carrot leave + 2 piece of carrot. He did consume them last night, but slowly. He also eat a little bit of pellet, again, not aggressively. The other 2 buns that I have upstair, they clean out the pellet like there is no tomorrow.
So there are rabbit poo and he does urinate, everything is normal except the poo level is just say 40 pieces this morning. It is almost like he's recovering from a GI stasis except there is no GI stasis.
So the question is, for a shy / nervous rabbit who is currently hiding in his "cave", can this new adjustment to my new environment affects his diet?
