A better life for Chinook and Eddy

Things are looking up for my beautiful bunnies ♥️ thanks to the massive generousity of Reader. Last weekend the hugest box of bunny goodies arrived. We have books, furniture, toys and hair brushes

I am going to take the opportunity to show their stuff off on this thread. Chinook is obsessed with this picnic table. She leaps on it everytime i walk in the room and I swear she is smiling.
First experiences of it

Reader we are so grateful that you have passed on Casper, Sophie and Saars treasured things. We promise they will be enjoyed in their new home ♥️

Ooh, this is so lovely to see... ❤️ I'm so glad Chinook likes the picnic table. She's such a cutie ❤️ Eddy as well, of course  Thank you and Eddy and Chinook again so much for giving Casper, Sophie, and Saar's things a good home. It's really such a comfort to know their things will be enjoyed by your bunny family now.

Forgot to say, it's totally okay if you want to paint their furniture a different colour.

Have they figured out the wooden box-y toy that's on the picnic table? Casper and Sophie had trouble getting it open. I don't think I ever tried it with Saar.

I like your colour choice ♥️ thank you though.

That wooden puzzle toy i have given them a few times. First off they both got the treats out by pulling the cords. Subsequent goes Chinook has removed the first one but rushed under the bed with it. She does this with stacking cups but with those she manages to carry some of the treats in it. Poor girl. I have been retrieving some treats and chucking them under the bed. Meanwhile Eddy just uses brute force, throwing the container about til the cubes come out 😂♥️ i remember seeing a video of Casper and Sophie playing with some toy and marvelling about how gentle they were ♥️

I am not much of a reader20260224_170712.jpg(focus issues and easily distracted) but i read this book in 6 days and i love it♥️ it is the reason i wrote better life rather than enriched life in the title. i now feel empowered to work with Chinookie on her confidence and trust issues. Clicker training haa commenced

Oh, Chinookie :ROFLMAO: Casper would do that, too, run off with with the thingies covering the food instead of the food itself :ROFLMAO: Clever buns, though, figuring it out right away. I like Eddy's approach, too :ROFLMAO:❤️ Sophie and Casper were mostly pretty gentle, yeah, but it depended on the puzzle. Casper would flip stuff upside down if he couldn't figure it out.

I'm so glad you like book, and well done reading it in six days! It's definitely one of my favourites. Trying clicker training with Chinook to work on her confidence and trust sounds like a great idea  If you want an idea of how not to do it, there should be a thread somewhere about my failure of an attempt with Casper :ROFLMAO:

Please find me the thread 🤣 At the moment they are just at the associating food with clicks stage. What i need to think about is whether to try & train one bun at a time (practically impossible) or give eddy a different clicker or double click (sounds complicated)

Aww little Casper ran off with the receptacle too❤️ It doesn't sound the brightest behaviour to repeat but its incredibly cute. I had to retrieve half a dozen cups from under the bed pretty regularly. Eddy stays still & chows down, much more effective

Here it is. It's short, because he didn't care :ROFLMAO: https://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/index.php?threads/bunny-approved-clickers.487444/ I guess if you used a different clicker for each bun, you'd have to hold both clickers at once and also remember which clicker to click for which bunny... might be a problem :ROFLMAO:

It is very cute, if not terribly bright, I agree ❤️ I think Eddy's approach to things is a lot more clever.

🤣 🤣 thanks, I just read it....he really couldn't give a toss about the clicker, could he?❤️ I'm guessing you were relating to the Guen Bradbury book.
I watched a youtube video after reading it . She says "you'll know" when they get the association....which must mean mine are a long way of "getting it". I don't understand how they'll know either since you click as you feed. I want the same as you wanted....to get Chinook in the carrier or some place I can do some basic care (brushing, nail clips, weigh ins)

I achieved my first ever on the floor nail clip after reading that book. On Eddy,. Chinooks are nearing call the RSPCA status

Aw reader, you are a gem ❤️

J&B, you bunnies look lovely around that picnic table! I can see the gleam in little Chinnook's eye, like she's a kid in a candy store (or a rabbit in a garden, I suppose!). I showed the picture to my siblings who share our buns with me, and they immediately demanded that we get one of our own!

Some Sunday afternoon Bunny zen for you all. Chinook and Eddy with their new carousel ♥️

Reader i hope you dont mind that i got bob to attach it to the snuffle mat. Portability is useful when Chinookie has episides of not wanting to join us downstairs. As you can see, they love this too♥️
