It’s a while since I actually had bunnies so I can’t remember how long the vaccines take to become effective, I think it might be worth checking with the vet.

I would take him to a rabbit savvy exotics vet. They should be able to suggest treatment to help. You could post your location on here so people could recommend vets. 6 would not be classed as elderly unless he’s a giant. He need painkillers at least as a matter of urgency.

I had 2 sisters who I managed to keep together by having them spayed as early as possible. I did bring them inside after the spay for recovery.

Personally I wouldn’t do the dating method, especially with a quad as I would want to put them together and leave them together whilst supervising the bonding, obviously it takes time but they can get to know each other properly. its a long time ago now but here’s my quad bonding thread...

Personally I wouldn’t use a harness, you could use the puppy pen with mesh attached to the inside of the panels so they can’t push through it. That might be ok whilst you are supervising them?
