Hey, just an update for those interested :) Errol returned from the vet as a bionic bunny (that's his new nickname now that he has 2 external fixators on his back leg). He's on cage rest for ~6-8 weeks with painkillers and antibiotics and his next check-up is a week after the surgery...

I'm definitely feeling more confident armed with this knowledge so thank you for the input everyone, and the kind thoughts and vibes. If there's anything else you can think of that I should ask the vets or anything please do jump in and I'll keep updating.

thanks Lucy, it's good to hear some reassurance :) I can't give the exact details (although will make sure I get them and update when I go to the vet) but the surgeon was talking about drilling and applying some kind of putty..? He said that Errol would have to come in about 6-8 weeks + later...

Errol's had bistro salad (beetroot, endive, lamb's lettuce) and loves that with no qualms to his tummy.

I would try having some of her favourite greens next to you when you're sat nearby her. Hopefully when she comes to see what you're doing she'll be interested and grateful for the yummy food and won't attack you. I also would be really patient and not touch or try to touch her before she trusts...
