Fundraising Event Dates 2015 - Please post your event here!

Thank you Emma and Di! Sorry, I know I am useless keeping up with things. All my time is spent sorting out bunnies needing help, and spare time, with Dad 😳

Amount of dumped rabbits in UK rescues

Sadly, I cannot see how you can get the numbers. I have not turned away a stray rabbit yet.? But, vets have them, I dread to think how many have been PTS, people have found them and kept them. Good luck though. It is definitely a statistic worth knowing.

Thank you Di and everyone following this sad story. I just have an awful feeling that these bunnies will not be saved. Although I have a lot going on here I have offered to take them in. Also, Nicola South Cotswolds RSPCA has offered. I have been greatly comforted by the fact so many people...

Hi Guys, sorry I have not been in touch, but, lets just say this letter is old and tatty news! I do hope the GRC are not relying on it as sensible evidence as this report has been shot to pieces already by further events. I did reply to the GRC along the lines of no mention of hay, Animal...

Ok! Durr, I did not even know I had replied to you! Thank you so much for your help. I have so much to care for here I do not have the capacity or luxury to spend time on the Internet. In so many ways I am a low profile , . rescue and I rely on people who know me to raise that..If I have...

Yes, I agree. And if you look into it further you will see I did not name the owner, the RSPCA did! Please look into the situation properly before you have ago at me and my rescue.

This has been done, thank you for your advice. Please do not worry, we are not stepping outside any boundaries, and as I said, the people at the RSPCA know me and I know they will understand why I am trying to seek urgent help.

This is true, I did consider the 'humanity implications', but, don't you think we should put the rabbits first in this case? Apparently, she is 'necking' the rabbits she does not want. She has been offered help by the lady trying to sort the situation out time and time again. However old you...

    Windwhistle Warren urgent help needed....u/d 76 19/7/13

I am sorry RSPCA Macclesfield, but, it is only the fact people are actually contacting and hassling the RSPCA that something will be done! Their phone lines are only open 10am - 12pm, the people taking the calls know me, and no doubt agree with my pleas! I truly hope no one is threatening them...

Hello Bunny Angels, Thank you for taking up the banner! At present all I can do is persuade the RSPCA that they need to take action and remove the rabbits now, not wait 8 weeks, as they have said, until they actually do something. Rae Todd at Rabbit Welfare Fund has mailed RSPCA head office...

Travelling a distance - :( bond not looking good:(

To be honest, I find it the most stressful part of running a rescue. You can never know how it is going to work out and I have known of fatalities when bondings have not worked. (not here I hasten to add). Donna brought them over here yesterday and she and one of my friends stayed with them. I...

Travelling a distance - :( bond not looking good:(

Hi Helen ;-), it's me! I have offered to take the bonding on for Donna. It is the first one she has done and is understandably worried, you know how stressful it is. Won't be until next weekend though, I am up to my eyes in it here, as all rescues are. Until then Donna will be swapping...

    Combined Vaccination

That is really good your vet is doing this. But, if people do not notice anything they may not take their rabbit to the vet for a check up thinking it is not necessary because they do not think anything is wrong, even if it is.

    Combined Vaccination

I am one of the rescues Theo has mentioned. I was always really cautious about the combi vaccination, not just for the reasons of protection, but also if you are not a super dooper rabbit owner you may miss something wrong with your rabbit. If they go 3 times a year, a problem can be picked up...
