Fur falling out/ Balding/ Skin condition?

Sorry do you mean stress can cause the mites? Or is that a totally different point you were making and I'm just being really stupid!

Fur falling out/ Balding/ Skin condition?

My bunny's fur is falling out in patches and she is pretty much bald at parts. Her skin is very white and almost scaly underneath. Is this some sort of skin infection? Or is she just moulting? Or could it be stress after all that's been going on?

    Nose to nose when bonding

Does anyone know what it means when they are facing each other, noses touching and not moving? It generally ends with one trying to bite the others cheek too which is not great. I'm just not sure what it's all about and if I should be breaking it up if it gets like this?

It could be a long day.... UPDATE. So far so good! : )

Well there has been a wee bit of chasing and deciding who is getting control of the corner! But on the whole not too bad... I'm just not sure where to go from here really! Do I keep them separate tonight or put them in one cage? The kitchen is still neutral space for them. Was wondering about...

It could be a long day.... UPDATE. So far so good! : )

Well I decided to give it ANOTHER go! The cage swapping seemed to help her get used to being in his space. SO last night I put them in kitchen. Gloves, squirter and food at the ready.. There was no huge probs apart from me getting a sore bum sitting on the kitchen floor! SO going to see how it...

    Does swapping cages really help?

Well it seems to be going okay. She's managing to relax in his cage and so maybe by magic is getting used to his smell/ territory. We haven't put them together again though so I'm not sure if it's actually making any difference or just me dragging things out...

The vet wouldn't give me any painkillers after the neutering, is this normal?

Apparently it's good for them not to have too much cos it means they are a wee bit more careful and don't tear around like mad like usual and end up doing themselves more harm. They do the same with dogs etc. It seems a valid enough reason to me but I'm sure I might get contested with this!;)

    Does swapping cages really help?

Well at the moment their cages are next to each other. We are kinda letting them out of a run about one at a time. It's funny cos if she's in her cage, he will go and lie along side it. But she's still a bit funny about him. We haven't put them together again since they last fell out and am a...

    Does swapping cages really help?

I was wondering about trying this with my two to see if it helps them get on. He's fine. But she's not taking him on... Would putting them into each others cages work? What is the point? So they get used to each others smell/ territory I would imagine? I'm just not sure if this is the best...
