Available Rescue: 2 gorgeous 9 month old Netherland Dwarves

It has broken our hearts, but unfortunately we are going to have to re-home our lovely 9 month old Netherland Dwarves. They are bonded brother and sister and love each other to bits. Always sleeping snuggled together and cleaning each other. The boy is very mild mannered and chilled out. He is...

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

I keep posting a reply but it doesn't show up. I'm soooo happy. My buns are back in their garden run and bonded again. Little Bea is no longer scared and they are grooming each other and Rocky allowing Bea to sleep half in his head etc 😄 It was so sad when he turned all mean 😟 I will definitely...

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

Thought I already replied but it didn't post. Yes will definitely keep them together as I did when my Rocky was neutered. Aw I'm so happy, they are sitting together. Being outside has calmed them down. Although I was shocked to see a random dark orange wee today all over their playmat. They...

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

Yes definitely. I will keep them together. I did the same when my boy was neutered

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

Oh no. Do you think spaying is the answer then? I put them back outside today. They seem calmer but still not sleeping snuggled together as usual 😢

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

Thank you, yes I am going to get her spayed. The vet said March. I'm dreading it to be honest as it will mean moving her inside again🙈 Also I cannot check stitches as she will not be picked up. I took my boy to the vet to check stitches every few days. The nurse is so confident with handling them.

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

When you said a new move, I am also sending them to bunny boarding when we go on hol. Hope that doesn't upset their bond too. Wish me luck for trying to get them BOTH in a carry case today/tomorrow. Still strongish winds though. Maybe I should wait until tomorrow 🙈

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

Oh no 😢 We had no choice in the storm. This morning my boy actually started grooming his sister. But then later he gave her the look and scared her away. I've heard of stress bonding? So while they were both in the litter tray I shook the outside cage a bit (the lid, not anything that shook...

Help! Unbonded in the storm? 😟

Hi I have 2 x 7 month old Netherland Dwarves. A brother and sister. They live outside happily in a hutch, run and playpen and love each other to bits, grooming each other, sleeping snuggled together etc. but we decided to put them in our converted garage room (no heating so they won't start...

Rabbits won't sleep on hay or straw

Funnily enough I have! I put a triangular litter box in there only and a chew toy on the floor of the hutch with the rest of it completely clear of anything and they've been using the litter tray hooray! A few poops on the floor, but no wees which is the main things as I hate cleaning those up...

How often to change bunny blankets?

I know! Only because they insist on sleeping in their covered run all night instead of snuggling into hay in the hutch. They're more like cats! 😄

Rabbits won't sleep on hay or straw

I have some rubber matting under the hutch to catch any wee drops and same as you. Half my run is play matting and half patio to keep their nails down. They never poo or wee in the run as they have a litter box in there. Just kind of wish they wouldn't also use the small hutch as a litter tray...

    Spacious Rabbit Hutch with Run

Hi would a Summer house get too hot in Summer, or will you move them outside then? Despite my problems of my rabbits not sleeping in their hutch, they just love their run!! I would still recommend the Omlet Eglu hutch and run, because you can extend it with zippi tunnels and playpens. My rabbits...

Rabbits won't sleep on hay or straw

Thank you. I have stuck with the back to nature and a layer of softer Timothy Hay on top. I change it every 2-3 days. I change their hay/litter box which is in their run every other day. Obviously in the hutch they eat the hay and poop on it...do other bunnies they not mind sleeping in poop...

How often to change bunny blankets?

Thanks. They're so pampered as outside buns, I even warm the blankets up on the radiator before putting them in at bedtime 😀

How often to change bunny blankets?

Hi, my rabbits love sleeping on the fleece covers that come with the petsafe heated mat things (I dumped the heatsafe things after reading some horror stories that scared me). But I kept the covers and they find them more comfortable to sleep on anyway. I have been washing them every other day...

Rabbits won't sleep on hay or straw

Is Back to Nature itself a warm enough carpet for them? It seems pretty warm? But obviously not something you can bury into and snuggle down into...mind you, like I say, they aren't tending to like sleeping like that anyway, they prefer something flat to sleep on

Rabbits won't sleep on hay or straw

Thank you for your advice. This is my first time owning rabbits. By paper I meant yes a few sheets of newspaper under the straw, so it's easier to pick up and clean out. But I found that newspaper stinks to high hell if urine gets on it. So I am now using my favourite Back to nature in the hutch...

    Bunny hotels/boarding Essex or Herts

Thanks all. I booked the Chelmsford bunny lodge. It looks great and the owner clearly loves her bunnies. I am looking forward to trying it out and knowing I can relax when on holiday this Summer 🙂

    Tubes / tunnels for bunnies

I love our Omlet zippi tunnel. I use it to attach their run to their playpen, but other than that, it is in their run the whole time, wedged against some play mats so it doesn't roll around. I have it to one side of the run, t's also a great windbreaker
