2 of her nails have fallen off!

We think it may be both her rear dew[?] claws. She's walking normally and seems her usual self. She's due to the vets again imminently for her Myxi jab - so will get a second opinion. Thanks all

2 of her nails have fallen off!

Hi, The nails were cut by the vet 2-3 weeks ago, so they're not long. Just seems strange that we haven't seen any before now, as she's been in the house (& on the carpets) for over 2 years now.

2 of her nails have fallen off!

Hi, Peppermint is circa 3.5 yrs old (not sure as she's a rescue bunny). We have found 2 large sections of her nails on the carpet over the last week & a half (she's a house bunny). She seems fine in herself. Only things happened recently are, she had VHD jab start of Feb; she also had nails...

    More than one bun

Hi, we have two who run free around the house all day (except for 2 rooms upstairs). One originally lived in the garage, then we brought him in the house. We then got him a rescue bunny (female) to pal up with. We had to isolate them in a neutral room for a week, then we let them in. They're...

    Please help unwell bunny

Can anyone help? My bunny, Benny who has never been ill has gone very quiet, sitting under the bed on his own, breathing fast and his tummy is making wind like noises. He will let me stroke him for a little while then runs off. Should I call vet now. (and try not to sound neurotic) or shall...

    Frequency of injections?

Well, I took them both back for their 6 monthly mixi jab on Sunday. Must say the vet seemed to know what he was doing. Unfortunately, not too mnay of the Pets At Home surgery's vets give me that impression that they're clued up on rabbits. However, he reckons they're both a little bit...

    Frequency of injections?

Hi, just want to check some conflicting advice given by two different vets. We have two house bunnies, so isn't too much risk of exposure (we hope). We were originally told Mixi jab was annual and cylap jab was six-monthly. Today I was told that Cylap was annual and mixi was six-monthly, but...

Can I bond a 1 yrs old neutered male?

We got Peppermint for Benny when Benny was around a year old. He had been on his own for 10 months, but we thought he was getting lonely, so we got him a resue bun and bonded them. I think most people here would tell you that with the right techniques there should be no reason why he can't be...

    Bottles Vs Dishes

The ferplast bottle have two methods of attachment. The previous link shows a screw mechanism to put through a cage. It is also applied with four suction cups, so that it can be stuck onto a door, or cupboard etc (it's quite study when attached), so this could be a good option if you need to...

    Hi from Benny & Peppermint

Hi all, thanks for the welcome, Pic of Benny in the garden from last summer below, need to get some new ones of Peppermint. http://tinypic.com/2pmxy It's funny - when he's in the house all he wants is attention and grooming, as soon as he's outside, he's aloof - almost like he's a kid...

    Sad Story

Sorry about your bun. I always wondered on what basis they stopped selling dogs in pet shops - and why whatever the reason was wouldn't apply to rabbits. Does anyone know?

    Hi from Benny & Peppermint

Hi, we have two house bunnies. Benny (black lop) who'll be 2 in December and Peppermint (a couple of months older, white and grey flecked lop). Not sure of Peppermint's exact age as she's a rescue bunny. Bought Benny fromn Pets at Home, but would always get rescue buns in the future. Still...

    Bottles Vs Dishes

The drawback with Ferplast is that if they fall out of their "cradle" they can easily crack and then they're useless. On the plus side, they're ideal for indoor use as you can use the suction cups against loads of surfaces. I don't catch our buns drinking much. Benny drinks for quite a bit...
