Do rabbits ever play with toys?

I just used to cut out "doors" for them to get in & out, etc, then just place the boxes in their runs, sometimes 4 at a time of varying sizes.

    Little update on Maggie

All 3 sound lovely. A hard decision. I'm quite close to Thornberry Animal Sanctuary near Worksop, Notts. I keep looking- they've got a few bonded pairs in, I'm very tempted but I'm still very sad & grieving for the 2 I've lost.

Do rabbits ever play with toys?

I bought my 2 some stacking cups - weren't interested. I tried a few baby things like teething rings, etc - again not interested. However they used to love small plant pots, cuttings from bushes, sand pits, etc, but by far their favourite were the cardboard veg boxes freely available in most...

    My bunny died

I've lost my 2 bunnies this year, 7 months apart, both at older ages. I'd love to find 2 rescue bunnies but am now in my 60s and feel I'm a bit too old to be adopting new pets. I was lucky with my 2 as they were very healthy up to their last 10 days, but I know some buns aren't so healthy.

So sad that you lost little Ollie so young! Heartbreaking.

    Help 😢

Looking at your situation as an outsider, I'd think the best thing for Theon would be to ask the rescue to take him, especially if you know it's a reputable one. I realise this is going to be a hard decision, but it sounds like you're struggling at present. Hope things work out whatever you decide.

    Help 😢

Hello there, I had the exact situation with my 2 male bunnies - they were brothers from the same litter. I had them from a few months of age. They were both neutered and I tried & tried to bond them without success. They lived separately and had a huge run divided by a wire fence. They'd sit...

First dental problems at 9yrs old!

Thank you. It's getting used to being rabbit-less after 8 years that's hard. We've not had a proper holiday in years as I wouldn't leave the rabbits. Now we're able to but I've got out of the holiday habit. I appreciate both boys lived long happy lives. The vet nurses did say he'd had lots of...

First dental problems at 9yrs old!

Something is really bothering me in hindsight! The vet surgery asked me to bring Bugs in for his dental ready for 9am on the Monday. I left him in good faith and waited for the phone call to say he was all done & ready to collect. However, bearing in mind I'd dropped him off for 9, I didn't get...

    Bugs - 27/07/17 - 07/09/26

Thank you. He was such a loving little bunny, adored being fussed and snuggling. I'll miss all his little antics. It's not getting any easier!

    Bugs - 27/07/17 - 07/09/26

It's totally heartbreaking. We've lost Brer aged 8 & a half in February, Rex the dog aged nearly 17 in May and now Bugs this week. I can't take so much sadness tbh!

Thank you! I hope they lived their best lives! They were certainly spoiled - only the best for them both!!

Thank you. He was such a good boy. Nine years was never going to be long enough. I donated all his veggies & treats to a neighbour who has 2 girl rabbits, hopefully they'll enjoy them.
