    Is shed insulation necessary?

I used the foil bubble wrap but also had one of those greenhouse heater things; the temperature never got below freezing.

Does anyone have a cuddly rabbit?

Me! But it's not real. It's made by Jellycat.

Peanut and new bunny (advice needed in #6)

Just wanted to quickly update to say that both are now living happily together completely ignoring each other. No more nipping or fur pulling. Hoping we eventually get to friendship but I'll settle for blissful ignorance for now. (And she's now called Sagittarius A* thanks to my husband, after...

My rabbit had a litter and I didn't know

Are these the same brother/sister pair you posted about in September?

    New Rabbit likes noisy children?

I think it all depends on the personality of the rabbit. I've had timid rabbits and extroverted rabbits. My giant was a cheeky chappy and chased the kids (which terrified them ) but my Peanut runs away from them if he sees them.

Peanut and new bunny (advice needed in #6)

Thanks again tonibun - appreciate your input and reassurance. Everything seemed OK this morning. Mostly just ignoring each other. I can cope with that. Now just to find the bun a name.

What are the best pellets for rabbits?

I feed the science selective pellets. It's a great quality feed.

Peanut and new bunny (advice needed in #6)

Thanks tonibun :) I'm at home today so have left them to it today, checking on them every half hour or so, and they seem to be cohabiting fairly peacefully even though there's no "cuddling" or bonding behaviour (that I would expect to see) so I'm staying wary!

My 7 year old bunny just got put to sleep, fly strike. what now?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Flystrike is the one thing I fear the most. :(

Peanut and new bunny (advice needed in #6)

Right - so now I really don't know what to do. Advice please! I couldn't re-attempt the bond yesterday because I had to go and do a day's work for an agency, so left new bunny in the kitchen and Peanut in the utility/cat run where he lives. Got home, can't find new bunny (I will name her...

Peanut and new bunny (advice needed in #6)

She did. I mean, she was fairly chilled about his nosiness and it looked positive but then when he started the aggressive biting she was running, thumping and he'd just chase her again. At one point he had her and looked like he wasn't going to let go, so that's why I decided to separate - I...

Peanut and new bunny (advice needed in #6)

Spoke too soon. Shortly after posting, Peanut started aggressively biting the bunny's face and butt, and seemed to be getting increasingly agitated, so I've separated them for now. Will try again tomorrow.

Peanut and new bunny (advice needed in #6)

If you've seen my other threads you'll know I recently (6-8 weeks ago? maybe a bit longer) adopted a bunny from a local cat rescue because I was worried that his limited diet and lack of interest in hay was going to end up causing issues. He's come on leaps and bounds since I brought him home...

    The Plot Thickens...

Thanks for your replies & advice Tamsin. Picking new bunny up next week all being well - should be just over 2 weeks then - and will give the bonding a go indoors (Peanut has been too scared to come inside from out of the utility so it's a nice rabbit-smell-free place to try!) It's been ages...

    The Plot Thickens...

Peanut is fully neutered, vaccinated etc - no reason not to go ahead and bond aside from my worry about his temper and the VHD concerns.

    The Plot Thickens...

In case you've not seen my other threads, I recently adopted a bunny called Peanut from a local cat rescue where I volunteer once a week. I was concerned about his limited diet, tiny poos and lack of companionship. He had a bad start to life being locked in a dark space with nothing but a bowl...

When are you putting your indoor bunnies out?

I don't know about where you are but it's expected to dip cold again over night here for the next few nights - might be worth checking the forecast for the next few days.

Available Individual: Otto - Small Lionhead - Shropshire (will travel)

That's positive! I'm in Broseley, just outside of Telford. 15 minutes from the M54/A5. The only potential problem is my existing rabbit had a bad start to life and is wary and grumpy. I'm nervous about bonding him, so a male-male bond could be risky. I would have nowhere to put him if they...
