    My Little Tiggs

He had all that in abundance, and more. He'd give you kisses, sit for cuddles. He could tell the time. He'd come when you called. Get up to all kinds of mischief. Such a bright, clever little bunny. He'd grumble at you if he wasn't best pleased about something. If bunnies could talk, he would...

    My Little Tiggs

Strangely enough I've just read through your thread about ten minutes ago. So sorry for your loss. It's been almost a month for Tiggs and it does get a little easier, but I'm still missing him every day, and still play things over in my mind. They're such big parts of our lives.

    My Little Tiggs

We lost our little Tigger last Wednesday. I'm absolutely heartbroken and still struggling to process it. He was 7 and a half, and on the outside a picture of health. The loveliest, funniest, and biggest character in the world. He was perfect. Unfortunately though he had been battling recurrent...

    Thymoma

I would discuss the dosage with your vet as soon as possible. And maybe ask if you can be referred to a more rabbit savvy vet, or see if you can find one yourself. After a good initial response, and then significant regrowth of the mass, we found upping the dose to be effective, but we only did...

4 year old rabbit with bladder stone: op or no op ?

We've had loads of issues with Tigger's bladder. He's had numerous scans - CT, x-ray etc... clear, but sludgy. Our vet finally felt what she thought was a stone one week. We took him for the op the next week, and it wasn't there. I didn't say ahead of the appointment but I had a feeling that...

    Recurring stasis - advice/experience wanted

That's what we thought too, but it's high in calcium and he was probably eating too much of it. To be honest though, whilst I felt bad stopping it at the time, his hay eating has improved a lot. Dried dandelion is high in calcium too, though the water content and diuretic effect of fresh...

    Suspect thymoma

My little Sophia is on prednisone to treat the thymoma, with ranitidine to counter the steroid's impact on her gut, and paracetamol for comfort. The steroid she takes crushed up on a basil leaf, and the other two she'll happy lick from the syringe like a treat. When she had the eye bulging we...

    Recurring stasis - advice/experience wanted

What's in the fresh forage? We had to cut out parsley and kale (which he loved, especially parsley) due to the high calcium content. And one of the worst things we were probably giving him was dried plantain which he used to go mad for.

    Recurring stasis - advice/experience wanted

We experienced this with Tigger. We finally narrowed it down to him struggling to urinate. His episodes can come on very suddenly, and could be over just as quickly... depending on if he was able to pass what needed to be passed. Some episodes before diagnosis could lasted hours. We've had a...

    Thymoma

Hi Mezrie. My little princess Sophia was diagnosed with a thymoma at the back end of the summer. The bulging eyes when she was eating is what gave it away, so we had her checked over, wheelbarrow test etc, and then a follow up CT scan to confirm it. She's currently on steroid tablets for the...

Anyone used nutracys+ for bladder inflammation?

Hi - sorry to bump a really old thread, but I'm just wondering what the outcome here was? Our little lad has chronic blood in his urine, and has had some very painful episodes with it. He's had all the imaging more than once, and his calcium intake cut down, and he still has the vets stumped...

    Sore Hocks

Unless they're on grass/soil all the time it's nigh on impossible to get rid of. Bunny's feet aren't designed for carpet/duvets/sheets/mats/vinyl/timber etc.

Not eating 3x in 4 weeks

We had this with Tigger, and we finally narrowed it down to a urinary infection. He had been struggling to pass anything and would have episodes where he'd be in a lot of pain. Once he was able to go, he was almost back to normal appetite-wise.

    Slowing down greedy guzzlers

Tigger has been getting a little too over-excited with his bedtime Burgess nuggets, so short of hand feeding him or using the treat balls, I was looking for any other ways to slow his guzzling down. I had looked at those slow-feed bowls you can get for cats and dogs but I'm not sure they'd work...

    Air purifier for sneezing?

We've got one. Not sure it's helped a great deal to be honest. Hay seems to be the most likely culprit for our snuffly little soldier. It is good for eradicating cooking smells though, which is one less thing to set his nose off.
