Funny enough we don't Jenson by his proper name much. Usually it's Bubba, Bunna, Fluffyhead, little Beastie (when he's up to no good!), and the OH calls him a poopyhead or fluffyface and our vet calls him a monkey (because he's not very well behaved at the vets).

I'd like to second the advice already given. Our vet let's Jenson run around the floor and sits on the floor to examine him. We also leave the carrier out at home so it's familiar and not scary. And I packed a small towel for him to have when he had to go in for the day (he hates newspaper)...

Hi, I'm big believer in trusting your instincts so good for you for taking him in. I would ask for some metacam though. It will be much easier to give than batril as I'm told it tastes nice (Jenson mugs me when he has it).

I agree with popping them in a carrier. Pack and load everything else first then put them in the carrier last, load them up and unload their stuff first and pop them straight in. Then leaves you free to carry on and them some quiet time in their hutch to relax from the journey with fresh water...

I'm going to say yes, but in his own bunny way. Little things like sulking if I go out for the evening. If I go away for a few days and leave my OH on full "bunny duty", Jenson is torn between being pleased I'm back and sulking cause I left. If I Skype he looks for me!

Hello. This evening we received results from the vets about the removed lump. Benign basal tumour. Good news as it was benign and is excised. I'm so relieved. Jenson had his first post op check up yesterday which was fine and he has another next week.

Thank you for the wishes. Jenson is home from his op today. Lump has been removed and sent off. I'm told he came round from the op well. He ate a small amount there and started eating hay not long after I got him home. Eating and drinking but I don't think any poops yet. We have meeds for him...
