FHB's rabbit savvy vets list U/D published, see link on post 1

yay, my aidan recommendation is on there :D i actually got emotional writing it when i think of how matt was and how much aidan worked with him and us to enable him to become stable and comfortable - matt wouldn't have lived as long as he did without him.

I missed this! I would have nominated my vets as they have just been awarded the Gold standard Rabbit Friendly Practice status - the first practice to have been awarded it. They must be good if they got that  shame I missed it!

I think you can still nominate vets by emailing :thumb:

FHB post on Facebook a few minutes ago: "Happy New Year everyone. I think the 'owner's recommendations' is working well on the website although there are some gaps. No vets in Somerset or Suffolk have been recommended yet, so keep the comments coming in. You can recommend your vet here or by E-mailing me on frances@harcourt-brown.co.uk. The link to the list is https://www.harcourt-brown.co.uk/tools/vets-owners-recommendations "

Anybody in Suffolk or Somerset able to recommend their vets... or anywhere else in the country for that matter!

Cheshire pet is on there but Molly Varga no longer works there :( found out recently as my daughter needed her for her bunny

I have heard a couple of things but not sure which is correct. One being she is setting up a referral clinic in St Helens and the other is doing referrals on a "mobile" basis.

I've seen a few versions too. I think most I've seen say she's doing a day each at a few places, one I remember being Manor Vets at Edgbaston and another day at Liverpool and others in the NW and Midlands but can't remember the details.

Vet on Wheels then !!

I've emailed FHB and got my local vet practice added to the list - she did it practically straightaway and has quoted me in the recommendation too, gulp!

Well I am more than satisfied with my vet practice, I think they're great and therefore they deserve to go on and if anyone happens to look at the list they'll see them :)

According to her Facebook page...

"Exciting new horizons for 2016!!! Many of you already know that starting in January myself along with colleagues Alan Humphreys BVSc, Craig Tessyman RVN and Amelia Tyrer-Lake will be starting a new Specialist Exotics Service at Rutland House Referral Hospital, St Helens, Merseyside. The service will open it doors on January 4th, and will welcome both first opinion and referral clients that are looking for specialist care for their less usual pets. The service will be staffed from Monday to Friday for routine and referral patients, and outside of those hours, urgent or emergency cases will be seen on site and admitted directly to the department for stabilisation and evaluation. We look forward to being able to offer a comprehensive service, enhanced by close connections with the established specialist departments within the hospital."

I've not used them since moving to Lancashire 6 years ago but Liz at Highgate Vets in Kendal was very good. Looking at FHB's page I see she's done a CPD session with her.

I've recommended Mark, I've just emailed Frances back as we had previously discussed Doughnut's case.
